  1. best to extend the draw bar on the trailer so it reaches the pickup hitch on the tractor rather than trying to mount on the chipper. then you can tow a real trailer. shreks chippers a nice one
  2. have they gor ajusters in the hub? better to slacken that before the cable. jack wheels up with breaks off and tow bar (over run)pulled out tighten breaks till they start to rub then slacken 1 notch (so they dont rub) do this on all wheels then try check for heat also after a run
  3. evans and reid are good folk. iv had a few buckets and a set of tracks of them. i called around and always found them to be spot on with knowlege and price
  4. thats not a bad price. i was quoted about £800 for one for a 3 tonne machine. wheres that from? at that price id order one
  5. tell me about it. borrowed my brothers mog last week to winch some leylandi out to the chipper. his door windows missing. still it made the job a lot easyer even with my wet bum
  6. door just get in the way on small tractors below 100hp anyway tractor exporters may can fnd s/h doors (its not that cold or wet in africa )
  7. steve try robert miller at dalry, he had a tidy up when scrap was high last year and dont have as much lying around but he's plenty contacts so im sure he could fine what you need.
  8. thats some nice planks youv got there still not a dear tractor for that money id say
  9. the ones iv moved are always chained to the corners. thats where your ment to lift them by. the jcb should lift it fine, one end at a time
  10. i think dean means that you put the telegragh poles in long ways and use them as a sledge. or do you not know anyone with a tele handler to lift it on to a trailer in the feild. probibly need lifted 1 end at a time tho
  11. il give you 2 full 200tdi disco's for £500, loads of spares for you
  12. what about a box of swan vestas and the sun have you to remove it so it wont grow back? i cut some right to the ground a year ago and its starting to come back. mulchers probibly your best option if its a big enough site
  13. could it be 4 gears in 2wd and 4 gears in 4wd.? i always thought mogs had 4 gears and 2 ranges that swaped between for the higher and lower gears ie on square mogs 1234 on one range and 5678 on the other and on older 900s 12 (and reverse)on one range and 3456 on the other. altho i may havering now:001_smile:
  14. north ayrshire not really handy for you. but theres loads of old rotten discos lieing about the country
  15. its a shame your not more local. i'v a 200 tdi disco lieing for spares. i cant remember if its just the turbo thats different or if theres somthing with the way the injection pump sits too. between the 200 disco and defender am i right in thinking the 300 was the same in the disco and defender?
  16. both the u900's here have banana boxes but both my tp760 and igland winch never sit nice. had to make extensions for the winch to fit has your chipper got a bottom safety bar and e stop button. im not up on chippers i just stopped using my 6' tp as its not conpliant. well that and the fact i wanted a bigger one
  17. TC how do you find the pto shaft on the 900 when driving things on the 3 point linkage? is it just me that finds things dont fit well? is your chipper h+s compliant? lol
  18. steve that would go well with your new mini world
  19. it dont look very big for a 1212 altho its probibly the older style cab that makes it look smaller. my brother has a 1212 (i think) but its the one with the cab above the gearbox rather than sitting on it. i like the bull bar on the front, we have a 990 with a loader its all bashed in at the nose altho my 996 is nice and straight
  20. nice wee david brown. what model is it?
  21. MUCK TRUCK, EXCAVATOR, MICRO , DUMPER, DIGGER, BARROW on eBay (end time 11-Nov-09 05:42:42 GMT)
  22. i had a honda tracked barrow for a while. it would make less of a mark on lawns than walking across it as long as your going straight. but once you start skidding around it it can make a mess especially if theres a lot of moss in the lawn. i found it helped if you had to turn then put some ply sheets down at the turns iv never tryed a muck truck but im watching for one as it would be better suited to the digger work i do
