    Todays Job

it looks like youv just burnt the hole hill not really ideal managment for a health ecosystem
  4. this might be a bit ovious but when did you charge the battery last? failing that id go for a bad conection. the isolator switch on mine is the usual problem area
  5. so how much was left once youd finnished lol aye spy de spikes
  6. id say that cranes too big to put on the mog and youd just twist the trailer. if your wanting to move timber then youd be far better to get a timber crane as that one will be very slow. theres a trailer in the classifieds in here that would be far better behind your 900 than the 4 wheeled one. its being worked by a u1000 which is about the same size as your u900
  7. it looks like its worth looking into especially if it brings insurance costs down
  8. young one have you any pics of the problems. its easyer for us to give you advice if we can see it. iv blue point stud extractor set they are great for things like this if you can get them in
  9. depends on the type of work you do really. im sure that setup would have its place but if youv already got a chipper. are you going to buy anouther one the same size or are you just going to tow your one with it? also how are you going to get it onto site. ie would you then need 2 trips to get the chipper there too. if it makes sence to you and its cheap enough that you wont loose on it then buy it
  10. chears mate :001_smile:think iv sold the chipper ( guys ment to be getting it this week). id say if your wanting to run a mog then u need a front mount chipper and a trailer, same idea as dave skyhuk. you need to be owner operater too as i think mogs get a bad reputation when you let the boys have a shot of the big tonka toy, just for the crack
  11. heres there new slogan "Im sh##ing it"

    Stihl 192t

i thuoght a 200T was around £450 all in. not really much of a saving then
  15. youv got to love those zil's
  16. one of these for the front maybe? only its 1" 3/4 so still no use. but youl see that the block is just bolt it on to the shaft
  17. is the 21 splines on the very back of the shaft or in about the gaerbox, just if its to fit a imploments drive shaft then maybe it would be easyer to change the yoke on the impliments shaft rather than the mogs im sure one of the mog breakers (price or atkinson) will have a front shaft as theres not many folk use them
  18. raafbeard is that one of your own jobs or one you just drove by?
  19. never even seen one of them before but that'l be a lot more like the price you want to pay. if its not far from you then go have a look
  20. i konw wat you mean they are dear. i payed 6k for mine with 400hours on her. i think youd get a new similar sized westwood for about 6k. the choice is yours iv only done 20 hours or so. so cant really make any fair comment about repairs yet
  21. you need to cut a lot to bother buying new mine was second hand of course
  22. walker zero turn mower Diesel USA 42" collecter on eBay (end time 27-Jan-10 16:11:36 GMT) this one or the poofyhopper
  23. once you get used to driving without a wheel its easy. id still get a demo before spending any cash tho
  24. for my jobs id go with the zero turn, reason being is i do mow gardens that are say 20' by 10' with it. (in 30 seconds:thumbup:) but then thats just some of the work i do. even on the larger areas its fairly fast. i also run a scag side discharge. for speed you wont beat it on large site the thing i like about the amazone is its a flail rather than a rotary so can handle foren objects slightly better. im selling a walker zero turn mower also on peabey just now if anyones looking for a wee diesel mower
  25. ye its ok. one of the jobs i used it for was a council house that hadnt cut theres all summer. was only 6" high but that was it lying flat in a big slimy mess. left it scalped 1/2" on the first pass. with no problem. out front mowers can be handy in the right places but its easyer to drive machines with a steering wheel
