  1. mine is based in ayrshire altho it really is not worth anything other than scrap unfortunetly.

  3. good idea to keep the drive shaft sitting at the right angle. theres 2 holes on the arms, one lifts more weight one lifts higher
  4. can you alter what is stopping the chipper going up more? toplink or the arm heights?
  5. 7.5 tonne is the max you can drive if you passed your test before 1997 (i think) you dont cut anything off your truck. your just limiting the maximun gross weight. either that or register it as an agricrtural machine

  8. i think the TW stands for two wheel drive but that was when it was made for the american market. when they brought it to the uk market they made it 4wd tho. course i may be wrong

  13. No- your fuel regutators on the rear of the block, when it leaks it runs down the other side of the engine

  16. as long as the standard of repair is good enough then thats fine its just when you fit auto shop junk and you end up with more trouble. but you do find the specilists / main dealers are genarlly over priced in conparison to the real world

  19. why is the 271 cheaper than the 261?
  20. i know the feeling of needing more capacity. im thinking of getting a 15 tonne (or just below as its £200 to tax as apposed to £650) that will carry a decent weight, have a hiab on it and be fairly short so it gets into driveways. also it wont be that much dearer on fuel conpaired to the 7.5 tonner.
  21. why get a 7.5 tonne? my landrover and trailer carry more without having an operaters lisence

    Andy mine was an ex demo one and i think the company i got it from had had it for a bit. altho it looked like it had only chipped a handfull of branches gtm will can tell you if you can still get it with the honda

    ye good its a handy wee machine. glad i got the honda engine altho iv no experience of the mitsabishy to compare. one thing i do wonder is when your building a narrow access machine why is one of the wheels hanging 4" out past the body. have you looked into building one with a 18 hp engine?
