  8. there was a static caravan blown over at a caravan park in saltcoats. think that was about half 9 on saturday night. Storm damage dosnt always help the proffesional tree guys out there. any gardener / farmer can clear up a tree once its down. theres not much skill involved in that.
  9. yep dave your right my 1250 has two drive belts too but the 900s only have 1 and they cant get enough power threw just 1 belt
  10. remember that the 900's hyd pump is belt driven and only gives out about 150 bar where as most tractors and bigger mogs run at 210 bar (i think) this might mean that your spliter has a fair bit less power. I only found this out when i fitted a crane on my trailer. iv now fitted pto pump and tank. think i lost atleast a third of the power with the lack of pressure. pto pump has a higher flow rate than mog too. do you need to mount your splitter. ie do you need to take it to site often or could you just have it free standing. might be easyer to just fit legs on it. if you do mount it remember bits fly off it as you split them so might be best to have a plate to protect your head lights etc just a few ideas for u
  11. personally id go down the route of hiring in someone elses machine. No point wearing out your machine when u can keep it good for wee easy jobs. id just try to make of the labour side of it. Work out your costs and add plenty profit!!
