  4. We did, that's why he's selling his junkari and getting something for the garden waste and getting us to chip the bigger timber stuff Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Ceaftsure, I had some with them for when I did a few local shows with carvings and chainsaw milling while I was still employed, not a lot of money I seem to remember. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Both but mostly kidney pain if hanging in the harness, I really wanted to like it but just couldn't get comfortable in it. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. Nobody? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Anyone had any experience of this brand? My yard landlord is looking at getting a small 1 to go on a 35hp compact to be used mostly as a shredder with the swinging hammers to deal with the large volumes of garden waste his wife produces. Or has anyone got any suggestions of similar shredders? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. They do look good, got some fro utv products and seem ok so far, like said a goodcluster high up makes a difference to the amount of shadow and put 1 small light inside the splitting chamber to light up where the action happens really can make a difference. 10. Harder to say that with pump fuel as you are buying a product intended for many applications but the likelihood of you getting a pre mixed fuel intended for motor Manuel equipment and putting it into a road going vehicle is very unlikely so why pay that tax? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. The irony is If we weren't paying Road fuel duty on top of everything else on aspen it wouldn't be as expensive Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Love it! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Nope, not sure at all but was quite pretty in its own way, on an ash pollard if that helps anyone. Will get some pictures of beech when we do it, got a crawler with 50ton winch coming to click it over so I can leave a substantial hinge in the toes as think that'll be all that's holding it. 14. Was strange today as someone about 6 doors down from me was cutting a hedge with pump fuel and even at that distance is stank to me after so long on aspen, wife also remarked she didn't miss me coming home smelling like that but also pointed out it's now a more obvious man smell than fuel stink. 15. They also chew the crap out the ground if your back nd forth over the same bit a lot. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. That'd be nice. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. That's not bad at all, just want it for loading containers and trailers with chip and mulch, back actor will get very little use but might be handy occasionally Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. Been thinking of something like that for chip shifting in yard as selling massy to fund a bigger tractor and should be able to pick them up for a lot less than a tractor Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. Strange 1 found yesterday and then I've got this slightly poorly beech to fell in a few weeks before it go's on its own into a car park. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. That's the problem with modern tractors, too many sticky out bits made of plastic never intended to go anywhere need a tree. Nothing ever comes close to the robustness of the likes of the old county's for being pure tanks in the woods, so much easier to guard as you could bolt direct to most of them instead of having to bring everything up from virtually ground level. It won't matter how well guarded a machine is the forest will still try and destroy it, more down to operator awareness, skill and a good helping of luck. We ran a bog standard ford 7810 on an estate in the woods for years without a problem winching and forwarding and less than a week after getting a brand new guarded valtra the head forester put a hole in the tank dumping all the fuel and stranding it in middle of a wood miles from anywhere. 21. Bugger forgot link Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. Watch this if you want to be green with envy of a beautiful garden valtra I'm going to steel the idea for the bottom step on big drive chain! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Imagine the story's old tools could tell if they could Impressive find. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Much difference or just more tech and comfort? Looks better with chipper on front than back on those shape machines I think. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. The Austria killed me when I tried it for a day which is a shame as it seems to be a very well made harness. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
