  10. Might just have glazed bores if it's spent a lot of time just ticking over running the crane, my tractor was very much like that when I got it but a few good road runs with a heavy load soon cleaned it out and hardly a wiff of smoke now even when cold. Good to finally meet you briefly on Friday ian and telling me why this is a no rush project. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. Had a good look at the 200 yesterday at the apf and looks to be some good improvement and if it performs like they say I'd have another look at greenmech for sure! 14. We just have front winches but a rear winch is sometimes useful simply to avoid having to turn round or to get you unstuck the way you got in without another vehicle to help. Not really the best idea to anchor yourself back with a winch, far better to use slings especially if you can run them under the vehicle and onto points on the front bumper close to the winch doing the pulling which helps avoid some of the stress on the chassis. For most applications the mass of my vehicles is enough to hold them but sometimes I chuck in some wheel chocks to hold them. On this particular occasion the step up off the road onto the grass verge was more than enough. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  18. Call out from a chestnut that failed onto the road, cut everything off the inside and used landy winch of a redirect to role the bugger back over the wall and off the road. added fun was the swarm of wasps around the place, only got tagged 1ns. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. That's a big trailer for a 100hp tractor. I used a timberline behind a 8150 for a while and you really felt it on the road going from site to site as it was a big old lump of mettle. Are you looking at hub drive or cage drive? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. Ta, it's more I hate motorway driving in rain than being out in it. If it's bad the car might become hotel santafay instead of struggling with a wet tent. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  23. Interesting, will this mean the applications I've had sent back because I've used a Google earth view to clearly identify a tree instead of a sketch plan shouldn't have.... My local lot won't acknowledge a notice unless it's on there own headed form and not even a generic application form.... Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
