Probably ranging from Fencing the tree off and doing nothing to a full dismantle Saying that I know a few arbs/Tree cutters that if you gave them that sort of details they would end up all :what: Personally I'd prefer so much detail so if I did as exactly as stated there could be no comeback on the work not being correct.

Prefer a small log pick myself as I've nearly dislocated my wrist with tongs when they didn't release properly but used the smaller 1's for years. If you carnt lift it with them you shouldn't be lifting it, role it save your back!

Was there today, if you ever need a chipper for a smaller job can sort a crane Fed 1for you through a mate. Surch my valtra/botex and chipper thred for a vid of it. prob got about 60-70ton chipped today with it so not quite as much as you can but will hold its own! -

You doing some of the A1 DtoB clearance Rich? Can always help out for odd days but carnt promise much more than that these days. Get some picks of your toys up, that normally gets a bit more interest. John. -
Chipper mounted oil pump is an optional extra from farmi that's why they are a lower cost big chipper because the basic moddle is just that, basic and you can speck it up from that to be an all hydraulic machine if you want. Remember electronic roller controls and stress management are also optional extras but worth it if your going to crane feed. Excellent chipper and easy too work on and maintain. As said if chipping clean roundwood with good blades you cam get very good quality chip but it's flat chip as opposed to a rounder chip produced by drum chippers so won't 'flow' quite as well.

Yes John I used 1 On 2 different valtra's a 130hp And a 160hp both well on top of it, the 1st had a botex 360tl on the 3pl And the chipper bolted onto the leg frame so quite a heavy lump to lift but was nice to use for chipping with the small grab then changed too a t160 with 560tl roof mount better visibility but the bigger grab was a pain at times so had a smaller hopper made which was for grab feed only as no stop bar, this chipper was also a 3blade version with the twig breakers removed so really pulled the stuff in. Nice chipper too feed with being so low too the ground but easy to sweep crud in with the brash and damaged the blades. I think lpg Eddie has 1 with the optional conveyer instead of a bottom roller which makes feeding easier but makes the machine no good if you also want to hand feed it.

Depends what your lifting, ie lots of small softwood or large hardwood buts. A single centre claw is good for going into heaps of softwood as tends not to wreck the rest of the stack but 2 independent top arms are better for uneven big hardwood trunks. I've found if the bottom arms are too long it's easy to dig into the ground or catch on stumps and bend things, the most important thing is the strength of the ram that clamps the top down so you can hold and drag stuff without it opening.

Orange for us as it differentiates us from every dog walker, school run club and old bloke On his mobility scooter! What I'm trying to say is yellow hi viz is becoming so common place on our streets we find motorist have almost stopped noticing it. As said before yellow quickly turns green and looses its hi viz status but Orange seems to stand out for longer but at night it's more down to the quality of the reflective band's.

I did see a botex on a trailer that had work lights mounted on the dipper boom near the top, they were housed in bits of box section On either side and just clamped around the boom with steel strapping so no bolts or welds and very well protected. Both were LED with quite a broad light spread pointing at the grab. I think farmi offer something similar as an option. Artwork that t190 looks very well guarded! Tidy job too. Far better than another if had a go with on a Jake plate.

Not sure then, guess you will have too stick 1 on a weigh bridge. Get a few picks of the whole trucks as sounds interesting. Were they going cheep for you too get two of them or just a whim purchase?

Arbwork, Is it harder to fit guards to yours with the crane being Jake plate mounted? Stephen how could you loos that crane, it was huge! Surely you could tell where it was by which direction the tractor was tilting . Would have liked a go with that rig though! It is easy to suddenly not know where your grab is on the dark, worst was on another roof mount I drove when unloading the big grain trailer at night as the lights only just reached the top of the headboard, hated it!
