  1. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-cs10brk-10-ton-body-repair-kit Wounder if this would work with the spreader jaws in the kit or make something from the rams in the kit?
  2. Don't ask me I know nothing, mostly because I as so busy at mo I get garage to do such things as have no enthusiasm to start spannering at night in the cold. Let me know what you find out.
  3. 1 of 2 things happen... 1 it eats it and spits it out. 2 it stops the drum and you have to get out and shift it and keep going. Only ever broken 1 tooth and that was on a steel road plate. Half a role of stock net is your worst enemy as that can take hrs to cut out from the teeth.
  4. Neither, you'll sweat in both but I think the stretch airs might be available as type A's if that's suitable for you and probably a little cooler as a looser fit overall.
  5. Happy on about 6"material but will do bigger but it drags the drum speed down quickly so got to go stedy with it, eats blackthorn quite happily! Mulching is strange, the harder the timber the better it smashes up the softer stuff like willow or pop just fluffs up and looks messy.
  6. The sthil are horrible and don't last, got a pair for night time call outs, constantly ride up over my boots because of elastic band at bottom of legs pockets are impossible to use and the reflection bands peal off in no time, wish I'd got another pair of stretch airs instead!
  7. Bit of clearance work for the county council, remove 4 ash same as in 1st pick and grind stumps done day 1 then clear a swath through the prickly stuff but had a little help with that, would be a tidy finish apart from all the litter!
  8. If it's a dismantle then cut in a step for your lowering bollard and remove bark all way round trunk where straps go for better/safer grip, similar to ring barking ;-)
  9. Think that could be a bit confusing after a few beers and trying to focus on the floor to get upstairs quietly ;-)
  10. It was 1 day I'd chipped up the stuff I'd dragged round to the front of the house but left chipper running while I nipped round back for last big limb and heard chipper start chipping something, strange thought hopper was empty when I left so grabs limb and scoorles back to front to find neighbor trying to feed several old Christmas trees into chipper, lucky he hadn't got last freshest 1 in as that still had full set of lights on, when politely asked WTF he thought he was doing all I got was 'i didn't think you'd mind as you'll be selling the mulch anyway ' Cheeky so n so!!
  11. 5days without posting  You'll be in withdrawal ;-)
  12. Got finished today on the big beech, stripped a bit more timber off then felled the poles then the joy of ringing up everything over 18" but at least I managed to come up with a way to avoid flushing the stump of. Saw in pictures is my 088 with 30"bar for scale.
  13. Same lot, also very funny! Goths dancing to "Shake it off" by Taylor Swift: http://youtu.be/rFp0sknx-5Q Nice find devil, not going to ask how you found it ;-)
  14. Could you not get a decent sized machine in or something ;-)
  15. From full tree to last picture between 9 this morning and 4.30 tonight for 3 of us on site, all chip removed, rb44 and ifor trailer behind landy sharing the load having my own cherrypicker helps like! Will stick on some pictures of the timber stacks and trunk tomorrow when it's down.
  16. Big beech dismantle today, deceptively big tree with so much timber in it. Back tomorrow to section the trunk. About 11m3 of chip out of it and left a lot of smaller branchwood that normally we'd have fired through as that's all stopping.
  17. Would have done on most trailers but this thing was built twice as strong as it needed to be! Twas quite a few years ago now and that trailer is long gone, now the problem is remebering to lock the steering drawbar so it doesn't wander out the sides
  18. Did the same to a 60 sign with stabiliser leg on a farmi forwarding trailer that used to creep down while travelling.
  19. "Bugger": this'll explain
  20. Well done, didn't even know your partner was expecting. Do you have a name yet for him bud? Make the most of the next few weeks and help mum all you can, she deserves it ;-)
  21. I know what your saying but we went carefully and used a reasonable size lump, just wanted to have a play and let Ben have a go as hed never actually see this model grinder before. Next week it'll be out in anger as long as this snow disappears as won't grind when snowing as clean up is almost impossible.
  22. Dean was kind anough to bring me my new toy today, so failing any stumps to do strate away a sacrifice of a ring of prime ash firewood became my target for a play ;-)
  23. I would if I could read what size the fuel filter is but it's just green as came from an ex army source....
