  1. Nothing like a coffee made with water boiled in a cast iron kettle over a wood fire and served in my dan erp mug! Black, 1 sugar - but even the sugar is optional. ;-)
  2. Both days bud and camping.
  3. I like the coffee blend but don't like the massive money making machine that it's become, cropping up everywhere putting good small independent business out of customers. Both days jon.
  4. New skid lid, pants and an overpriced coffee probably. Probably end up with many little shiny things to add to the collection.
  5. Did get very strange looks when I was sat against the landy with my cup on the floor between my legs working the coffee pump which could have looked a little suss.
  6. I wasn't picking falt as such but these are fundamental things that could make a difference between everyone going home or not, I'm no saint and don't do everything "by the book" but to advertise it to the world could cost you potential work which this lad is obviously keen to get and make a successful business which has to be admired these days.
  7. Well put together video with some good shots, video looks very professional. BUT, groundsman without helmets, top handled saw cutting on the ground, groundsman using big saw without protective trousers on and I presume you without a helmet on cutting of that hung up tree. Just a few things to watch out for as you never know how clued up a potential client could be and disregard you because of these points and thats without getting into the safety side of things.
  8. Husky dealer would be a better bet and get a 540xp eh johny just don't drop it onto the strop.
  9. Mine has duels and if it tips over with these on you shouldn't be allowed to operate a kettle never mind a grinder!
  10. Chance a contract grinding for another company so a mid range machine would suit it, the Hb20 would do it perfectly but considering if I send someone else would they be as productive as I am with it.
  11. Glad I looked at this thred as was tempted to give chris guill a call and go look at the 2nd hand 1 he is selling not far from me. Think I'll hang on for now and see what ells comes up.
  12. Just look on the bright side, at least you weren't sweating and thirsty ;-)
  13. Willow and pop are about the worst to grind as stringy and fibrous, give me a hawthorn or sycamore any day! Hydraulic grinders like little and often across the stump rather than big slow deep bites of a belt driven machine
  14. I have before when a whole garage had disappeared so I could drive truck rite up to trees. Didn't knock of as much as it saved me though ;-) I made more they saved some everyone happy.
  15. Isn't that basically a mog?
  16. Wasn't 1 built with a tw150 on the back and a chip box smaller than my bait box against the cab? Sure I've got a picture somewhere...?
  17. Think I'd need a bigger grinder to tackle this beast! Luckily nothing more than 8" to do today, just lots of them to get rid of trip hazards between some magnificent trees in a pineetum.
  18. Been there too Now got it in my t & c that any changes in access or site layout since quoting WILL require a renegotiation in price.
  19. Khomos on the 130 twin cab and just put BFG muds on the cherrypicker both 265 75 16 Had all terrains on my old 110 and got 60k miles before writing it off so was happy to shell out for the muds. The Khomos have done about 45kmiles so far and only the fronts are sowing any real damage which isn't bad for a heavy vehicle that's almost always towing. Hopefully the BFG's will cope with a constant 3.2ton on them.
  20. One I like and 1 for a giggle ;-)
  21. Yellow has been proved to attract more insects in summer which is very irritating! Also in this game turns a shade of green and loses its brightness in about a week even with washing, I now give all my lads orange polo shirts and sweatshirt, not hi viz just normal orange which look reasonably smart and easy to wash, we use the Stine water proof jackets which are ok but going to look for something better at the show next month. I find it easy to glance down and spot them on the ground even if it's shady under where I'm working so far easier to see if they ain't running back from the chipper to get more brash
  22. Could ok course have been two role ends left over that have been joined to make a loop up instead of wasting them, done it myself by accident when making 3/8milling chain up for the long bar on the 088 Won't make any difference.
  23. Normal to find this sometimes as just depends on how many drive links in chain and where it was last cut and joined, won't make any difference to how it cuts or behaves, don't worry about it.
