  1. No I have the st8, very little need for tracks when we have a rb and two landys 😉 Had a full day taking a lot of the back of this tree before I dared fell it as didn't trust the structure of the forks as was full of cracks and decay. Didn't want the rb to just rip of part of the tree. Yeh remember the day trying to drag a very overloaded landy and chipper out of that Valley!
  2. I'm holding on to my older ifor after looking at a new 1 and deciding it'd be better putting a few quid into new brakes, cables, dampener lights etc for something that's built to last more than a few years.
  3. What's your budget as I know of 1 near Durham that's nearly finished with new tipper and arb body on it, td5 110, very tidy indeed.
  4. Today's put together from a few weeks back, again a little different as no climbing because I'd forgotten the camera the day before when we stripped out the back of the tree over the tennis courts to bias the balance. Tree was removed on the councils recommendation after a large amount of Cambus started to die off and some of the main forks were compromised following a lightening strike. Enjoy
  5. Just got a uniforest 1300hardrox grab with 4.5ton rotator to go on a 360 that I hire in regularly from a friends hire firm, going to be fabricating up the mounting bracket this weekend or early next week and wanted a few opinions on weather it was best to have the grab able to swing in all directions with a bracket or just 1 direction Crappie sketches on phone might make sense 1st like a H so only swings in line with arm 2nd like 2 u's as 90°
  6. Got mine as a kit Ian but on ear defenders so easy to clip on and off existing helmets as nd when needed or if someone different is in easy just to clip onto there helmet nd go. Came like this ian
  7. You didn't see the fight I nearly got into with a squirrel to get those acorns, big buger he was too!
  8. That'll be while you were dodging my acorn field artillery fire, big shots aren't just for line placement 😜
  9. Now that'd do me perfectly for yard and light trailer work but I bet it's well out my current budget 😞
  10. Thanks darrin, just ordered one, exactly what was needed. 👍
  11. 2nd day with the coms, again I was on the ground for the mostpart and directing staff what needed to be pruned of on a sensitive little job, the lack of shouting to communicate definitely made things with this client a lot less stressful. Went for a good walk to try them over a bit of distance and at a good 500m still crystal clear. Really happy with them. Now all I need to find is a triple USB port plug to simultaneously charge all 3 over night.
  12. See, told you I might be wrong 😜
  13. No worries, the beast that landed yesterday has x on it as I'm not entirely sure antal make that size ring as a normal item but only for extreme arborist supplies, might be wrong but sure I'd heard it somewhere.
  14. 14, 16, and possibly 18mm used. Locking brummel splice.
  15. Voice activated. We were just chatting away like we were stood next to each other. 550ish Inc for 3 plus defs all set up to clip on and go. Was so easy today as we were cutting above the live carriage and the lad in the mewp couldn't see if any traffic was coming, just a quick clear, Yeh, crash. Easy.
  16. Just got a beast ring from treekit, not sure they sell the tht but worth a call anyway. Easy enough to slice them on and done quite a few for myself.
  17. Should also add this was in the box which could be very expensive as it's so easy to spot things that you didn't realise you needed, that's need not want - need! 😉
  18. Thanks to treekit we as a team of 3 are now like little voices in each others heads as we work, got a set of 3 sena smh10 Bluetooth headsets fitted to msa chipper muffs. Used them today on a deadwood over a narrow Road which made traffic management tricky but with these communication was so easy and clear. Really looking forward to seeing how it helps on a big rig down dismantle. Cheers lads 👍
  19. What exactly is ment by technically evaluated? Curious as becoming a qualified assessor is something I would like to ad to my skill set and business.
  20. Most of the time it has a 28" on for general arb work but for a lot of cross cutting or felling medium hardwood the 20" delivers a ridiculous amount of power especially with an extra tooth on the rim sprocket 😉 Standard bar never stood a chance and spit the nose sprocket out after about a weeks felling big pine.
  21. But for us dyslexics dark them is so much easier to read or at least to me it is, white words on a black background are far easier to read quickly, if you can't make out the author just tap the post and it go's blue so easier to spot.
  22. Same as Mark but also got a 20" for my 390xp which on a big saw has had some abuse and lasting far better than anything else. Just put a 36" on the 088 so see how that go's. Went through so many bars on the 540xp it was ridiculous couldn't get 2chains worn out before the husky bars were shot or falling apart.
