  1. I have the same wiring as you, but an extra switch on the right hand side of the funnel, which used to say "roller speed, fast and slow"
  2. Sounds like a llose wire going to the solenoid to me. Do whats suggested above in the first instance
  3. There is a switch all wired up to the loom on the side of the in feed funnel, so it must be there for a reason. Does your machine have a switch?
  4. Anyone familiar with the switch that is supposed to control the speed of the infeed rollers? Its the only thing I cannot seem to get to work on the machine I have refurbed, and it bugs me. is it a solenoid or something I need to replace? A relay? And if so, which one? The guy who used to own it said it used to work, but would occasionally squeal at him if he tried to change it under load.
  5. Personally, I wouldnt bother. The video cleverly shows it digging in sand. Show it a stump, and all thats going to happen is the machine will either move, or a squeek will emit from the hydraulics which wont cope with the pressure. Those things are next to useless from experience
  6. Yes. Phoned them and emailed. They told me its only available through my machine manufacturer, and wont deal with me. Other local hydraulic places have said its a specialist lart and cannot source it! have ordered a new one, but I am not convinced my problem lies with it
  7. this is the porting block. The black mark is where the split was. Looking at the photo, oil in is top hole, next two are the crusher ram, the last one is oil out. When the crusher is not working the oil flows through the system as normal, via the track lever ports. The hole to the right of the crack is the presure relief valve.
  8. Have ordered a new valve. Its only made for this manufacturer and no one else, they wont deal with me direct, and its £350 plus vat
  9. Its more of a porting block, than a valve. Oil flows through it normally when the crusher jaw is not operating, when it it, a diverter, or electromagnetic switch, moves oil within this port. it had a tiny split about 5mm in length on the side, which allowed oil to escape whenever the ram changed direction. It was this split that was welded up. if it was this porting block at fault, seems strange I can get fast tracking speed, as the oil is obviously flowing throguh the porting block ok. Once back at work, I will try and bridge the in and out pipes from this porting block and see if that alters anything
  10. I tried, but the couplings on the pipes are too bent. I need to get a pipe made up to do it. Might be worth a shot to rule out the replacement valve.
  11. Starting to think that too. Crusher works ok. The valve block I replaced originally came out the machine, it too had a splt which a local ally welder fixed. my only other thought is if tnere was something inside it when I connected it up, thats now found its way into the valves for the tracks
  12. I have no oil leaking out anywhere. what is interesting, is that the oil comes out the pump, and into a 4 way valve block. When the crusher jaw is not working, the oil simply flows in and out, but an electromagnetic valve diverts the oil within this 4 way block, to make the ram move back an forth. This valve block had a split in it, so I replaced it, and its since I did that, that this problem has occured!
  13. Bit of an unusual one.i have mini crushers I hire out, as well as a, tracked skip loading dumper. If anyone is familiar with the tcp hit500 skiploader, it has two speed tracking. When you push the levers forward, it drives in slow, then you can press a button and it jumps into faster mode, by an electro magnetic valve that diverts flow. anyway, it now will not move when I oush the levers foward at all, unless I push the levers and then press the high speed button! the oil is flowing through the system ok, just seems to not work in slow mode. If imjack the machine up, I can get the track to move not under load. I can only assume a blockage in the control valve? the manufacturer has never heard of this problem before!
  14. As the machine you were using was a borrowed machine, its clear that its owner is not looking after it properly! I kmow someone with a 635 with the same boom issue, and it down to lack of maintenence and not replacing wear pads before its too late! My 525 is sound, but I have had my local dealer look after it, and he has replaced pins and bushes for me. It came back a totally different machine. as regards the side panels, you can specify heavy duty panels, which for arb work is a must. flying the flag for avants here, used to be bobcat man. Never again
  15. Fair comment. We all know how our own stoves work best I guess. my dad insisted when he had 6 inch logs, in cutting them all up into small bits so he could get more heat out of them. He was forever loading the fire up!
  16. Oh dear. Some basic physics needs applyimg lads. yes but cutting smaller, you get more surface area, they burn hotter adn quicker. You cannot get more energy out of a log by cutting it smaller, it just releases that energy quicker. if I have small stuff on my 11kw, I have to shut the vents down on to stop overfiring. If I burn bigger logs, I can open the vents, and het a longer more controlled burn.
  17. they wont burn hotter, just quicker. You cant get more heat out of it just because its shorter. smallest I do is 150mm, and 450mm max, which is for my fire:001_smile:
  18. s some may recall, I did up an entec 1999 and spentma lot of time and effort on it, new bearings, blades etc. anyway, the guy who sold it to me said he would hire it from time to time, and indeed he has. the other day, disaster. The no stress got some crud on the sensor and packed up, his operative failed to recognise it, carried on feeding until the engine stalled, and threw a belt. I repaired that, sent it back out, this time the pulley taper decided to split into three, fly out and smash a lump of the pulley, and shred the pump belt
  19. Eh? Where are kubota going? a guy at a vineyard I know refused to listen to my advice about which tractor to buy. Brought one of those awful chinese things, sent it back. Then ignored my advice further when I found the perfect kubota, and brought a yanmar unseen. Was an import, everything in japenese, no trailer tipping pipe, manual engine shutdown etc. As said, beware pto goes the right way
  20. Slightly confusing list, as it shows the worst payload in order, the worst being the ford transit.cabstar has always had the best payload, hence when cherry pickers are often mounted on them.
  21. Until the business of transits being opened by a master key available on the internet, and the insurance companies stop wriggling out of paying up for claims when people have been robbed as a result, transits should be avoided
  22. Indeed. He never got robbed again though, previous the police did nothing other than give him a crime number
  23. A mate had his yard broken into a few times, so he got an alsation, and regularly camped out. One night, he heard a noise against the corrugated iron fence, and then a pair of hands appeared , clearly attempting to scale it and gain entry. Thinking on his feet, he got a shovel and smacked it ontop of the foreign hand, which severed two of the culprits fingers. luckily, the dog ate the evidence!
  24. Os it better than that liquid metal that you get in two tubes that you mix together? Tried that stuff on a small split on a fuel tank, it was next to useless
  25. Never heard of them, looks to be a good rival to eiet. Where is the dealer based?
