  1. A salient point made, is the residual value will be so much lower. Place near me is selling ex hird diggers for more than they paid for them, but they are kubota dont think these chinesium ones will fair quite so well .
  2. There a reason they are 8k cheaper! I wouldnt touch one with a bardgepole
  3. I did get an email from a potential log customer who asked if I was a woodsure member, as he said his insurance insisted all log purchased had to be from now on. He runs a few eateries doing wood fired pizza.nkt sure how genuine this is?
  4. Try wiggling filter around when cranking, see if fuel starts to flow?
  5. Is it a clear filter you can see the fuel in? If so observe it when you crank the engine to see if you can see fuel flowing
  6. That sounds identical to my eliet shredder with the vanguard engine. Turns out the visible inline fuel filter just needed moving slightly into an upright position for the fuel to get through, it then started, but if when running I moved the filter off upright, the engine cut out. To eliminate the spark plug, have you taken it out and cranked to see if there is a spark?
  7. I would concur, if the engine is under any slight load, it wont start
  8. From experience, yes. Although if the engine runs low of oil, it causes more vibrations, and then the snapping. I have had the mounting plates on the exhaust snap, plus the two bolts under neatly that clamp it to the engine. I resolved this by drilling out to the next size and fitting an m12 cap head bolt. Not had a fuel tank go for a while, but it's usually because its been incorrectly mounted without the rubber supports. Would be interested in your alternative, as they re nearly £300 new. What machine is yours running?
  9. Didnt try and short the switch as wasnt sure which pin did what
  10. Its not that they are jamming, just not operating!
  11. Now I'm jealous. The number of broken exhaust studs on those flipping engines, and not once have I managed that.last one I drilled it, and got my welder to re fill the hole and re tap it.
  12. As above, asking for a friend. His passenger window switch never worked when he got the truck. The switch on the drivers side operated it fine. Now that has stopped. He had to wire up the motor direct to the battery to close it! Drivers window switch works fine. We have power at the switch, the little led lights up, just cannot get the passenger window to operate on either side. The relay is fine, I presume this operates the drivers window also. Any ideas?
  13. Congrats.,I've yet to get one if those things to work!
  14. Ha! Similar thing happend to me. Back in early 2000, I was I interested in buying a discovery, so when to the nearest dealer, during work hours, dressed in scruffy clothes. I looked around the showroom car, and approached the sales guy, who saw me, got up, walked past me and served the well to do people who came in after me. I walked out, and went elsewhere and brought a pick up instead. Amusingly, that salesmen ended up cleaning wheelie bins for a living not long after, so I guess justice served
  15. We dont. We never have. Its idiots selling un seasoned logs, and householders burning stuff dragged out of the canal that's the problem (both of which I have witnessed) I store fresh cut wood outside for two years. Then I chop it into logs and store it in an air flow clamp for a further year. It comes in at around 15% , well below the standard. I see no point in burning fossil fuels in a kiln to get it done in moisture content. Talk about releasing unneccasry carbon!
  16. Did you press the traction control button then the diff lock?
  17. Just got rid of my nt400,and brought a 3 litre iveco tipper. Got the all terrain tyres, it has a diff lock button on the dash, plus traction control. Been told its it's hard to get them stuck!
  18. I have dab in my truck, and unless I have the radio icon pressed on the screen, instead of maps, it doesnt tell me. I listen to local radio anyway. Moved when Wogan left
  19. Agreed. Ever since he said on his "factoids" that wet sand was lighter than dry sand.
  20. Can any of you kind people recommend a company that I can send this to to get new ones made? Machine manufacturer has none in stock, and wont tell me who they use, nor will they entertain getting me some.
  21. I have spoke to someone who was tasked with moving a piece of equipment on a tri axle trailer. 10 mins into his journey, the back axle gave up, and having parked in a layby with a load of travellers , he decided not the best place to leave it. So he removed bothe rear wheels, and continued on his 90 mile journey without furthe issue. Hi load weighed in at nearly 7 tons!!
  22. Just about to buy an add in back boiler for my stove, aarrada 11kw ecoburn.

  24. It may be worth noting, that any remap done through the obd port is a no-no. This is where you will get problems. Not familiar with the plug in boxes, but I guess these are easy to remove in the event of work needed to be done under warranty? I had my nt400,done, they removed the ECU and reprogrammed it. I then had a warranty claim. Pleased to say they honoured it and never mentioned it, even after they had plugged in the computer and read the boost figures!
