  8. there's a firm that has platforms on the back of morooka off-road loaders which have very low ground pressure if the right tracks are fitted or use a machine like those that are being used up at spadeadam on the bog restoration project. also you didn't say anything about trees in wetlands john so my answer was pertinent to the facts given.
  9. Is that the lad who owns QTS, stevie? they have some very nice kit, i remember an article about them in one of the forestry mags when i was at college and his pride and joy at the time was his self-propelled stumpgrinder which he had made by attaching a pto stumper onto the front of a claas jaguar forage harvester.

  11. all the deaths from this, the deceased all had serious underlying health problems, so how can they be certain that it was the swine flu that killed them? Maybe it just speeded the process up ( i know that sounds a bit harsh but it is a question the coroner or pathologists would ask themselves i'm sure.)

Heard the shocking news of the loss of the commanding officer of the first battalion, The Welsh Guards and a trooper of the Royal Tank Regiment as well as the death of two tornado crewmen from RAF leuchars whilst on a training mission. thoughts are with their families and colleagues at this time.
  16. I was reading on the MOD website that the Queen has created a new honour for the families of those who have fallen on active service since 1948 called the Elizabeth Cross; I know that groups of people such as the population of malta can be awarded the George Cross, maybe the town of Wooton Bassett could be awarded the Elizabeth cross for what they have done?
