  1. Claus Matthecks Body Language of Trees an Gasping Housewives weekly seems to fit in my glovebox quite well. I particularly enjoy the hoover buyers guide. K
  2. ..... But in Laymans terms, that would be.... ? K
  3. Thankgod fr this. Cos the other one was rubbish and a pain to resolve ( in Unix based systems i use anyway) k
  4. I always consider you to be wide open to interpretation. K
  5. Single feed roller is fine. Long as the tin plate holds up it should be a little star. K ( the old 6" vermeers were single roller an they were cracking chippers)
  6. ....and 200+ epicormic limes contracts wont contradict you ( bread n butter I know ) K
  7. Indeed ..... I'll get me hammer K
  8. ....dunno if a layman would even know what a shigometer is *coff* K ( have you got one Kev ?? Are they good ? )
  9. Timberwolf a bit tinny in their lighter model. Forst blades setup make me shudder ? liked Greenmech stuff, but not used a recent one. K
  10. Radial expansion of roots is significant, but wouldnt put my money on it, in this case. Think mediation way forward here. K

    Jokes???

younger ones might not get this ( Obvs Mr@Stubby had to give up writing in latin after school ) K
  16. I would say , in Summer 2020 our H. Oak did look a bit sick , but improved after the hot spell ended. 80+ years and in raised bed near driveway , soil is compacted clay grit with full sun . No additional watering. K
  17. Might be worth checking flow good enuff fr a forest mulcher head too, so you can snap it on fr tidy ups on rides and turning areas? K
  18. Only thing you got wrong in that was insurance companies actually love to rack up fees and drag it out forever ..... I tend to get to the cause n demand answers, when faced with the above scenario, but hey they make money at it ? K
  19. Ongoing property maintenance there i would say, many drains are in poor shape, not surface visible usually, so it is dealt with on a failure point basis. Tree root development is unquantifiable, until you dig / airspade the ground. Like tree inspection it should be record and action planned ( but that costs money and is a bother ? ) K
  20. ( neighbour has over hanging branch filling my gutter with leaves - i would go round n say " mate, am getting blocked gutter from yr tree an its leaf fall, i will trim it back from yr gutter and my gutter n blast out both our gutters free" that will put you in a good light and cost way less than taking the bugger to court on an actionable nuisance basis)
  21. @Paddy1000111 its just not an easy answer, people just do not realise their liability with their trees. Once its over 2m height, i or any other competent person should give written advice, periodically, with recommendations. Which should be followed at some point. This is duty of care. Its a cost. But it ( i have saved some clients literally thousands) means yr in a good position-with yr neighbour or the Local Authority or an Insurer. K
  22. Buying a new chainsaw has never been more confusing ( professional purchaser) used to be you could go to a dealer who had a stack out the back and try a couple out, then hand yr wad over. Now its PDI ed inside the box, an you takes yr chance ? K
  23. I like the 'hopefully' just not with my money...... K
  24. Join the club. K
  25. Yr damned then. K
