Bet they are those Brexit rooks stealing our bloody walnuts ? gets me so angry ! K
  6. This is meat and drink to me, as the absolute nonsense that comes out of these claims, is easily defeated. I cannot imagine how many of these cases are running in tbe UK at this time and it is entirely down to UK insurance sales policies. Am sure the other party are expecting to claim on your house insurance...... K
  7. Yr right, but mid throttle been mentioned in brake band thread by those in the know. K
  8. Basically .... CHANCERS, an insurance loss adjuster is not familiar with any of this and is probably working from home ( in an extension they are claiming tree related subsidence for) contest the planning app as ' it will cut out the light' to yr garden ? 3x3 extensions wont need planning consent. Structural engineers report is a joke. It 'would appear' well, bore hole, soil type , root sample, would be evidence. Not appearance. Definately contest as its just not kosher. Also knocking through external walls is not undertaken lightly! K
  9. Just to qualify Dempsey, that is also a place of Red wine ? K
  10. Oddly, i find Red wine turns them all pretty, just dont turn me loose in IKEA..... K
  11. Am embarrased to agree - I think , Swedes , Germans , various other Eastern nationals are baffled by us . They always try that bit harder in many ways . I explained our humour to a very straight laced German newspaper editor who didnt understand ( we were on holiday ) I said " you dont understand our humour as we are laughing at our failings or stupidity " ( which is ok ) he said " that is correct - we would just feel embarrased and not want it seen " K

THIS should be on the Arboricultural Association website. K
  13. Couldnt happen to a nicer couple. Now where is my toast ? K
  14. Think with concrete saws they are flat out, or idling. Possibly the revvy rev up all day does fail injector? Big guess by the way. K
  15. Could have been worse........ Could have bought a 500i ....... K
  16. Could have been worse. Could have bought a Husqvarna . K

    Jokes???

  18. Drill slightly bigger rivet hole - rubber washer under rivet head. K
  19. Yes, i know, thats when the dinosaur seashell were dieing - to make it ? k
  20. Yes. Well mulched, in hot summer the soil will not dessicate ( it's top 300mm of soil fr yr roots we talking abt) always neglected by local athority planting ! Went to Hyde Hall RHS gardens this year n their new tree planting had almost completely failed, No Mulch. K
  21. In the high target context, from pic. Pollard. 3m height. Bird boxes and interplant Mountain Ash. Habitat. K
  22. Yes. Plenty of mulch always. Would disagree with water tube, a drip feeder is better but out at the edges as it makes fine roots reach out fr water. Gives bettr root establishment. K
  23. I actually rate it higher than the Stihl effort. Better handles n starts second pull. K ( sucky bag too)
  24. Wot its worth, i will check it soon after start up. Use it several times a day, probably had 10 nasty kick backs in ten years of cutting, from memory ( i have felled a lot of big trees) which is not too bad. Do Not use a saw with failed brake or missing catcher. K
  25. Is this hedging Beech or standards / root ball ? Plus wot soil is it ? I would be rotavating clay soil with lime to break it up . They love sandy soil . K
