  1. I Will take that as a challenge, corkscrew please, K
  2. Nice to have more technical weight on the forum !! Anyway Mr@Stubby those Christmas slippers..? Tartan again or those hilareous hedgehog onez? K
  3. I use them i dont design them ? plus yr piston is part of the reciprocating mass. Flywheels are lighter part of the combination due to their function as a cooler too, if they were cast steel too it would be a bloody heavy saw ? K
  4. Heavier crankweight = flywheel effect and smoother more reliable engine . K
  5. Yes. Could not see a way around it. I know people want a work around cos of their precious expensive rope but ( instead of wallet spanking zigzags) it could only be 2Rope and it was actually a client demand. K
  6. @gobbypunkand do remember with the volume of dust yr kicking up, yr air filter is critical. Good oil does not mean fit for yr VW turbo engine. A good semi synthetic will do - with a thinner grade as mentioned for winter. I would knock up a lorry curtain with a scaffold pole for weight at the bottom to screen off the elements, try a haulage company, they may have a ripped curtain sider fr swaps fr logs ? K
  7. Just got yrself a Saturday job ? K
  8. Cant Lead Men over the Top with anything else! Certainly not that Johhny Colonial Browning 9mm ? ( even though its actually a better handgun.... War Office requirement was '120 grain load that would knock a man flat at 33 yards')
  9. .... Knowing Kev he probably has got his old Webley. 38 polished away in a drawer ? K
  10. After watching Boris Johnstons shameful behaviour in PMQ against Sir Starmer, i would rather have Boris Yeltzin in charge of this country..... Least you could get a drink in of an evening. K
  11. Lovely tidy job - pity abt ye zigzag ? K
  12. I'll pay good money to see you in 2 harnesss Kev ? K
  13. It was posted in the magazine , too early for a HSE quote, just September this year, but Power Line stuff like Rail is quite stringent, will not judge the bloke but seriously, 2Rope IS supposed to make yr day safer...... K ( originally did not want to engage in this thread as Paul has had enuff flak off this site, but that incident pushed me off end as we put a lot of effort last October into getting 2Rope into place at our company ? an the couple of nob ends who put up severe resistance to it are no doubt laffin now )
  14. ...... An pulling it out yr van when yr givin it large geezah ☺️ K
  15. Its his tree.... On paper. K
  16. Hmmm Husq 266, Husq 335, some crap i bought off ebay whence drunk. K
  17. @David Cropper well you learn summat every day, now, that corkscrew..... K
  18. @carlos it was deemed unsafe next to the bungalow, but i did say " if this goes wrong an cuts that bungalow in two, i will be fishtailing the transit out into the next county and beyond!" ? K
  19. Oh Mr Stubby!! Tha should be on t'radio with tha repartee ? appen. K
  20. Thankyou Paddy, thats better answer than last bloody dealer gave me! K
  21. ..... Now go off n mix yr fuel to 45:1 Stihl red under a waning moon, with a dab of holy water on the plug. Or whatever these bloody saws need to keep going past the warranty ? K
  22. @openspaceman yes. I did twig it after reading latest edition of AA winter 2020* , i often teach pole rescue in the safety reviews as it just dont get the mention it should. Belayed rescue for conscious, able but damaged climber should be drummed into every groundsperson on site. *Of note on this is the UAG 067 notice on a climber 07.09.20 power line climber using 2Rope systems fell out of tree on descent after both systems became detached from his harness. K ( 10m fall 4 discs and arm broke)
  23. Khriss

    Jokes???

Reply is even better ? K
  24. Carrying Hobbs lowering device down a line or access road???? Whoopie sling n Figure 8 n locking device. This is where it falls down on discussion. K
  25. Marvelous, yr first tree inspection ? have you done yr ten common species yet? K
