  7. It all makes sense and its all do-able. Until you get to the job. A famous quote at Sandhurst is " no plan survives first contact with the enemy". I have used each and every system in last 5 years and still am no clearer on this.   20. @Undercut and thats the baffling thing- yr just as likely to get hurt breaking the big branches of that crown down, as felling it. Massive tensions. Or tree rolling on you. Large conifer fells are nothing like it at all. But also have unique dangers too. It used to be 'One large broadleaf, open grown tree' obvs too hard to find now ? Fab video tho ? K
