thanks for sharing that lily white, certinly food for thought and i guess to make the courier worth while id have to get it modded and tweaked too:biggrin: took it to work today and used the compressor to clean it up and noticed that one of the head bolts had come partially out so i guess that cant of been helping, so tightened that and will try it again. thanks carl

my 346 has started sounding like its running a bit quick and idling a bit fast too, using it today i checked the plug and it was more white than tan. so is it a case of just tuning or looking for a fault? i will probably end up taking it to a repair shop but wouldnt mind having a look myself first. want to to right by the saw as i love it so:biggrin: thanks carl

hmm 45 euro for the dmm, it looks good but one can get a lot of karritools for 45 euro. i have a plan to make a hybrid effort out of my bust karritools and a wire gate, ill put up a picture if it works out.

Meindle Wood Walkers are a good boot imo, bit cheaper than the airstreams too.

those metal ones look good, saw a picture of them on the net but couldnt see where to buy them???

i use one of these on either side of my harness to clip my saw up to, but they often seem to break! tried just a wire gate crab but would prefer it to stick out more. tried some Italian orange carritool but that was total rubbish. any suggestions, home made mods etc? thanks carl

got asked to deadwood a small one once, ended up using the hi-ab to bust out the dead bits!! not really text book arb but didnt get spiked at all. horrible things.

i think most people splice them on with tenex hollow braid rope, well thats what iam going to do when i get round to it.

i wouldnt of said you need spikes and a flip line to learn to climb, there expensive too. mechanical friction devices are not a must and expensive, id say get climbing on a hitch with pulley such as the VT knot, or what ever your mate shows you,

id add a cheap double ring cambium saver, and id get at least a 35m rope a micro pulley and some friction cord for your hitch. plenty more you could get, never ending it seems!! good luck carl
