  1. if you want a pulley thats tated twice what your friction device is then thats not 150kn its 15kn . check your figures again against the 15kn pulley and id say it will make a bit more sense. i would go for somthing pretty chunky for the base (portawrap) anchor because it takes a bit of wear n tear. carl
  2. pretty much that on my lawn here!
  3. could well be crud related as i run veg oil on the bar and dont own an air compressor!
  4. in which category to do accidents occur? newly qualified but not that competent or seasoned pro with many years under their belt rushing or cutting corners? or is it a mix, must be some trends, not read any data myself so dont know but would be keen to read up on it. carl
  5. thanks spud ill open it up and have a peek.
  6. i tend to find accidents or near misses are far more likely to occur on smaller easier tasks as you tend to give it less concentration. whereas a big technical takedown you give it 101%. leyland hedges and overgrown garden hedges seem to bring out the worst saw manship in me.
  7. iam sure these used to run hotter on my saw, what should i check? to be honest i dont even know how they work, is there a way to test them off the saw? any thoughts welcome. thanks carl
  8. are lumag and peruzzo the same machines then??
  9. grab it with both hands and keep pulling until it fires!!
  10. cool thanks for the replies i will look into getting one seems straight forward enough to get a reading. could well save money in the long run. thanks carl.
  11. are tachos easy to use?? my main fear with my saws is them reving too high, so is i just a case of wack on the tacho rev n check reading or is there a lot more to it? thanks carl
  12. gonna take offence to that as me and my cousin go line dancing every Saturday night! ( joke btw)
  13. i wouldnt say i felt strongly about , probalbly the opposite to be honest:001_smile:
  14. er dunno never been on those two, but i guess if it takes up mod time and people are falling out over it then yes.
  15. ditto:thumbup1: best stick to what we all have in common ( all things tree and garden) rather than digress and argue over our differences on other subjects:thumbdown: carl
  16. sorry didnt explain myself properly, yes all my throwlines get tangled, i meant that giving them to the trainee usually got them tangled rather than untangled. as for throw line choice id go for zing it, seems super strong and durable. carl:001_smile:
  17. always found it to be the opposite:001_tongue:
  18. how about a mega hi-ab crane on the back!? good luck with your purchase dont forget to add some photos of it too. carl
  19. not tried the husky but the 201tcm is fine not to far off the 200t in performance imo. been pretty reliable so far. carl

  23. pfanner or arbortec.
  24. mewp or fell for me id say!
  25. not sure if your machine is the same but the work one was just a small square panel to remove then a large bolt to remove and an angled pressure bracket to remove then in the end of the anvil there is a small threaded hole, find a long bolt to fit then grip the bolt and slide the anvil out, it could be a bit stuborn, then you can reverse the anvil if the other edge is good. hope that makes sense and is the same for your machine. carl
