  1. Up North, North west to be precise It seems like it all comes down to you local surgery. I live less than 10 miles from my old place, big difference in health care. From what I understand your GP/surgery can negotiate costs with private health care hospitals. If they get a good deal you can find yourself in a luxury room private hospital rather than on a ward with 10 other people. My Mrs has a far better understanding as she has in the past dealt with GP costs but she says its an extremely complicated system, a lot of it is ran like a business these days. Council estate where everyone is in the doctors every five minutes sucks up all the funds, wealthy area where most use private healthcare means there are more funds and availability. Having said that our dentist is total sheet but since it seems that you cant get a dentist without paying privately its not like I have much choice in that matter.
  2. Earninng the vast sums of money that you do, not that you don't like to talk about it, I would have thought that you would have gone private? Joking aside, I hope your kids get better soon. I can't fault our doctors tbh, straight in to be seen if needed after a very brief phone call, and private hospital treatment if necessary. Post code lottery tastic.
  3. I thought the exact same thing when I tried to work ours out! I gave up but with a bit of help from your mathematical skills I may have another try
  4. AT is a wealth of knowledge due to a lot of people that not only have a real interest and great expertise in the industry but are also willing to share it. I have learnt an awful lot from AT over the years and for that I am very grateful to said experts but mainly to Mr B who made it all possible. Although 14 years on I'm still not sure which is best, husky or stihl?!!! A thanks to all that have contributed over the years. 🍻
  5. Looks like I misread the assignment, oops. Op, disregard my fookin useless suggestion. I would be interested to see to see how/if you accomplish the task.
  6. We couldn't hold up a conversation on which is the best upholstery to furnish a super yacht. Obviously. I do hope that there are a few Christmas tree selling millionaires, hopefully home grown but I don't think that it's probable.
  7. He won't be back on here for awhile, last I heard he had popped out for some scran at Sublimotion with Bezos and Musk.
  8. Can't you just use some very thin rope like paracord? Strong but I would like to see someone try to use it to climb the tree.
  9. IWell at least it's better than watching strictly come dancing. This probably isn't my first World Cup memory but I always remember Gary lineker missing an open goal as the ball shot across him. I did try to look for the video but I couldn't find it which probably means it was some euro qualifier or something. What I'm going to do now that beer is banned while watching the game I don't know!
  10. I think that goes on all the time with every nation but I think its a little bit different than bombs killing civilians. Hopefully a mistake but since the Russians are denying that it even happened it does sound like they are pushing boundaries. I guess Ukraine will get a lot more ant-aircraft weapons now!
  11. There was a video on the news the other day showing the French police doing an excellent job of doing absolutely nothing. Boats of people traffickers just off shore while a load of immigrants waded in to climb into the boats to set sail for good old blighty. All the while the French police just stood there watching! Apparently they 'couldn't' intervene, yeah bolloxs. Yep another £10 million spunked away.
  12. There must be some process that you or I would go through if we decided to illegally enter another country. I'm guessing arrest, fine, deportation and then a passport ban from returning and probably travelling to other countries. That's in regards to illegal immigrants not asylum seekers, genuine asylum seekers.
  13. We went to my parents house for a bonfire night party and they hadn't even lit the fire! Unfookinbelievable! I knew something was a muck because as I drove up to their house the neighbours weren't out in the front garden garden sunbathing and spraying the lawn down.
  14. Birch is fairly grippy and usually follows a hinge nicely. Just imagine that you where climbing it two months ago when there wasn't a sign of fungus and you will be ok probably
  15. Where did you buy your geiger counter from? It may be useful in the coming months like. I would have thought that importing questionable items like contaminated timer would be restricted but I guess not.
  16. I loved him in ice age!
  17. I dread the day my parents light their fire. It's 200 degrees no matter which room you are in! Thank fook I only have to visit once a week to pick the kids up. 40 years of minimal heating with plain windows and no insulation has taken is toll me thinks.
  18. I remember putting in a tender for some la work a long time ago. I asked at the interview if local firms had any advantage. The answer was a firm no. If a tree company in Germany could do the same work for less money and still show that they could meet all the requirements then it would go to them! Suffice to say a firm 300 miles away won the contract then farmed it out to local firms at a shitty rate. Some local lads took them up on the offer as they needed the work.
  19. That's why I would probably do it myself but it's easy to see why other people wouldn't bother getting dirty if they didn't need to and they have already paid for that service.
  20. Why not if it's a service that you are paying for? Tbh I probably wouldn't bother to call them out myself as I would just sort it out but there is no shame in using a service that you pay for at all. I don't doubt that some sad fckers would drive past giggling and posting a video to youtube but who really cares and what difference does it mean in the grand scheme of things. No one and nothing.
  21. The best way to help was to just do the job at hand imo.
  22. What, in the dark, all alone with an owl! It's a bleedin flat tyre. I couldn't sit there watching someone struggle when in five minutes with a bit of help they could be on the way. I've had to change a flat tyre maybe twice within the last 30 years, next time if its pissing down and I'm in no rush I will just call the rac. It's not as life changing event or some special life lesson.
  23. Ok fair enough, looks like I read it wrong. I would have just helped to change the tyre.
  24. Jesus. Just help them out maybe rather than just sit there gloating. Did you video it so you can post it on social media I wonder. Sad reading indeed.
  25. What, be a big fat useless lying cnt? I'm sure you can do better than that. To think that that moron had his fingers on the trigger to wipe out an entire continent and he couldn't even have a beer in secret! And you want someone as useless and as powerless like that in charge of the country? I mean he couldn't even silence dominic cummings or stop some security dude taking a pic of matt snogging some bird.
