  1. I thought that was going to be a nice chrismasy song for the kids to listen to. Regretting Alexa playing that throughout the house now.
  2. That ain't no woman, it's a man man.
  3. I know of two mewp fatalities, one I knew the other I heard about from a work mate who knew them. Both of them due to poor/non existent maintenance. Used mewps and gienes plenty of times, they do have their limitations thats for sure but I presume that on the whole they are very safe. There are probably more platforms in use daily than there are arbs climbing trees tone hundred fold. Nothing wrong with the machine but maybe it's not the greatest thing to use in arb due to how we use them.
  4. Show me on this doll Where the social worker touched you. Jesssh, not everyone is a thick useless, power hungry cnt ya know. It must be hard work keeping up the level of hate you seem to have for everyone so why not take a break, it's almost Christmas. 🎅
  5. Nearer to the trunk is a jump cut, there is also less chance of the saw getting pinched/trapped.
  6. The thing is it's being going on for decades, its nothing new. It's fck all to do with 'state control' it's just down to bad parenting. Monkey see monkey do. Btw, not all social workers are Hitler's or hippies, I don't know the company that you keep but I know a few social workers and they are the nicest, hard-working people that you will ever meet. I would never want to do their job.
  7. Hopefully they will regret their actions and pay for them but tbh I would prefer them not to be part of society anymore. There will be plenty of times that they will enjoy being alive but the same cannot be said for that poor kid.
  8. I dunno about the exact temperature but warmer than the Mrs prefers. Baths are a completely different story though, just above the boiling point of lava is her preference
  9. I don't drink a lot of red wine but the Mrs does! Faustino VII Rioja is amongst her favorites atm, only £6 from asda. I can sink a decent amount of ale but red wine gives me acid within a coupe of glasses.
  10. Im going to give it a miss too. I can't be dealing with stuff like that. I see no reason whatsoever why we don't have a lethal injection for those crimes. There is no way that those people should be allowed to carry on enjoying the rest of their lives after committing a crime like that.
  11. Tell me Michael, how can a billion Indian people be wrong? If its written in the stars then maybe he can tell us how it all pans out. It might save me from buying a beech house in the Maldives. 2030 is only so next year (taking into consideration on how fast time is flying past lately) that if the predictions are true it does leave us with what seems to be an unreasonable amount of time to do anything worthwhile. I can now understand why elon and Jeff have developed a space program, the two richest people on the planet. At least poor old Bill G is doing his best for us mere earthlings. I hope I'm doing my bit as much as I can in regards to recycling, car sharing, buying local and not owning a second yacht. Seriously though, I'll admit that I am fairly ignorant to what's going on with climate change and I'm glad that this thread has been brought/popped to attention.
  12. Sounds like a decent sized tree to move! I certainly can't help but if you do move it please post some pics and videos.
  13. I think those are very good bits of advice. A poor running machine and complacency drastically increases the odds of an accident. I've had a few and witnessed a few, most of the time it's been poor work positioning coupled with being pissed off. I.e. operator error. I don't think a quicker chain brake would of helped in those situations but if it didn't effect the use or performance of the machine then I can't see it being a bad idea.
  14. Have you tried vermeer uk? Tree Care, Recycling & Underground Machinery | Vermeer UK WWW.VERMEERUK.CO.UK Formed in 2007, Vermeer UK provides the very best...
  15. Ha. Fair enough. I don't think it's a very common occurrence though. I don't think I have ever had to remove a dead laurel and my mum and dad's cats unfortunately havent managed to do any damage to the laurel hedge I have to hack back every fookin year.
  16. Note to OP. Don't buy a bucket of cat piss and fertilize your laurels with it or petrol for that matter. Who the fck does research on cat piss and laurel mortality?
  17. It's a hard task to kill a laurel but it is worth giving them a helping hand like any hedge. Try some rotten horse manure. It has worked well on some privet hedges that have looked a bit weak but I think stubby might be spot on. I've hacked plenty of laurels to within an inch of their lives but they always come back.
  18. I've taken down a hell of a lot of lombardys down. A fast saw and dart them down works well.
  19. I still think it looks like a tr 3b.
  20. Is that a drone?
  21. 👍 Edible I hope. Cheers, I will do a bit of searching.
  22. Any ideas on this one? I'm guessing some kind of oyster mushroom, found them on a Holm oak.

    Archery

That's at the top of the kids Christmas list whether they like or or not.
  24. It's definitely not dead. It's certainly not in the best of health though! There isn't much you can do apart from not letting it get too big as there is a good chance it will snap at the base. Keep it pruned into more of a shrub than let it grow as a tree. It has already been cut back fairly hard.
