  1. Sorry if this has been asked before, but Im looking at buying a 30ft by 8ft steel shipping container when i get my new yard next year. Im not too fussed on the condition as i can do all the welding and stick some lock boxes etc on myself. I need to be able to store my chipper, all tools and equipment and also have room for a workshop. Was just wanting a guide price as i havnt got a clue. Also do you guys that use them have problems with condensation etc. Thanks in advance Lads
  2. I have a dremel attachment, that has and angle guide and different size stones for different pitch chains - its still in the box unused though as i prefer to sharpen by hand
  3. Here here, im a Husky man through and through and only use a 200 in a tree at the mo, but i would be interested in this saw if it werent for the brake. It would get caught up on branches and is only fixed on one side so i could see it getting broken and being a pain.....its about time that Husky brought out a decent top handle though:thumbup1:
  4. try universal engine power in essex, they will send parts and are brilliant. i got a new kohler command 25 fitted on my chipper for £1000, always have the parts i need too....dont have number to hand but they have a website.
  5. Well done for going to the doctors mate, usually the scan reveals that there's nothing wrong or there is a cyst (which if not painful are usually left) or an infection which is cured by antibiotics. But the doctors told me that balls can feel lumpy just where the pipework is etc. Glad your doctors sent you for a quick scan, i had to wait over 6 weeks for mine! Goodluck mate, fingers crossed for you:thumbup1:
  6. Thanks a lot mate, take care Ben
  7. Not too bad thank you, had my operation on monday, can walk a little now but no work for at least a month, so fraustrating, i would do anything to be working right now. The cancer was sent off to be graded and i have to go for a full body scan sometime soon. So just a worrying time at the mo and cant do much to keep my mind off it. On the positive my harness should fit a little easier now:thumbup1:
  8. Great photos mate - really wish i was well enough to go this year
  9. 7.5 ton, i recon theres a fair bit more than 2 ton of chip there!!
  10. Thanks for the kind messages lads, and yeah it does make a good excuse to make the mrs get you naked
  11. Had some bad news yesterday, was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I found a small lump on my left testicle just over 2 months ago, I went straight to my gp, who said it was just a cyst and sent me for a scan to make sure. I had to wait 6 weeks for a scan, by which time the lump had trebbled in size and was painful, especially in my harness. The scan revealed a lump and swelling and my GP said it was just an infection, gave me antibiotics and sent me to see a urologist (specialist) for a second opinion. Inbetween times i had terrible pains and had to go to A&E. They managed to get me an appointment with the speciallist a week earlier and i was told to cancel my holiday (which i should be on now), to Majorca. Saw the specialist yesterday, who examined and scanned me, he told me i had cancer and sent me for another scan and blood tests. On the way home i had a call asking me to come in for an operation monday 20th. Good news I suppose that im going to be fitted in quick, but very scary! So please fellas, dont neglect your balls, have a good look next time you're in the bath/shower and make sure you visit your doctor. My lump was tiny when i found it and grew very fast (4 times the size of other side!), but when I think back it always seemed to be my left ball that used to hurt in my harness on and off ages before i had spotted anything.
  12. Yeah a i bought a pair a couple of months ago, i cant believe how i managed in my old SIPs not, they are great trousers, pricey but quality:thumbup1:

  14. Nice one Andy, my old man makes loads of farm machinery models, gets the kits from scaledown models, they are really smart and really detailed for a 1:32 scale, is your model a 1:32?
  15. looks weird to be honest....hope they'll make one all in orange. Hope its as good as the replacement 346 was:thumbup1:
  16. why??? What if he needs to climb a tree with deep bark??
  17. sharp gaffs are the key, you should only have to place them into the wood, not stab them in, this will damage your knees overtime. The angle is important on spikes, you want them to go into the wood to be secure but not too far so they are difficult to pull out as you climb up. Also there are long and short (pole climbing) gaffs, longer are better(more usefull) for general tree work. My advice would be to buy a new set of gaffs, and then you could even sharpen the older ones matching the angle etc. Goodluck
  18. Yeah I agree, used to use an older 2100CD and that'd cut rings round a 660 and all that, great saws:thumbup:
  19. try Hilux Pickup Owners Club & Online Community Forum - Home Normally a few for sale on there and nice fellas too:thumbup1:

  21. Cheers lads, great link too - I will tell client and hopefully get some better pics myself when im there in the next month or two. Thanks
  22. Got sent these pics by a client that im due to work for next month, He said that the bark has peeled off the tree in a short space of time and is in a heap around the base of the tree. The tree looked fine last year....and under the bark is like a sooty charcoal deposit that comes off on your hand - any idea what it is? It has killed two of his trees next to a road.
  23. On the Anglia News, they said that 2 people were trapped under the tree, it fell at 5pm when there were several people in the beergarden (which the tree had fallen right accross) The fire brigade were cutting the people out and there were rescue dogs and thermal imaging used to find the people, and also see if there were any other unconscious. It said that two were quite badly injured and were still in hospital the following day:thumbdown:
  24. Nah, hadnt payed much attention, never sat outside and its opposite side to the carpark. Hope the injured make a quick recovery, It sounded much worse on Tele earlier
  25. Saw this on the Tele this morning, two pleple trapped, just a stones throw away from me. Have eaten in there several times! Fire crews rescue people trapped by tree - News - Heart Essex
