  2. Hopefully he'll find out how to start it and then use it to clean his ears out
  3. Great Stuff! Thanks for that link, I'll be looking after dinner
  4. Hope someone may have come across this or might know someone that has. Roughly ten years ago i opened a business bank account with a large high street bank, At the time i was told i would need insurance to cover any time of sick, or overdraft payments which they would provided, I recall saying that i did not want it but was told i couldn't have the account if i did not have it. It has been paid for a number of years and i really want to know if any one else has had the same thing. I would like to see if i am owed anything back. I don't like jumping on a band wagons but for the possible amount this is something that i may well do. Any one had any success with reclaiming money? Thanks all Chris

  7. Cheers Mark, Thats how i would deal with it. But I can understand Roni's predicament, its just knowing when to stand back and say enough is enough. The jobs hard enough (as well you know) without some narrow minded prick causing hassle Sod em! Lifes too short
  8. Run with it if you have the inclination and backing of the council. As long as it dos'nt cost you money or stress, Good luck bud
  9. Hey cheers Mark, every days a school day:) I used to get wound up by guys like this, and it can really screw you up thinking "this guy will ruin us", and like you said no one listens too him apart from himself. I now think, Screw em! let them get on with there own rant, and i sleep a hell of a lot better
  10. Roni, Have you got any more information on what went on? I take it the guy entered your work area and held up the works, if you have any of his contact information you might be able to send him an invoice for lost work time. Not sure if that might put him off. Was this on a council contract? Are the council giving you any back up? Are you Arb approved? If he cost you time, Well i dont know how you go about that, But slander... ... has he put it in print?
  11. Great Advice John. Was the guy just a bit of a nimby, How much did he Really hold up the works. If the jobs over and the invoice has been raised then forget about it and move on to the next one. Seems like it would be a lot of hassle to get involved with. You say ex Cop, We had a guy that wanted to come through our works to complain , It was designated footpath with official closure and completley closed off he came through two sections of signs, cones and barriers and i had to stop him from going under a backleaner over the path gobbed out and wedged. People think they have a right to go where they want, when they want. Even if their life is endangered, they dont focus on the big picture and are hell bent on letting you know their opinions. Let it go
  12. Just read this and realised why iv'e not been on here for a long while... When i lend my mates something (and i sure as hell dont lend anyone any of my saws) i just ask for it back, Did you say? 1, "Here you go Mate, i dont use this 3120 anymore so you might as well have it" or 2, "Here you go Mate, You can borrow this until i need it back" Option 1, means you might be out of luck - Generous yes, But still out of luck. Option 2, means he is either a forgetful mate or he's sold it on ebay and ran off down the shops to buy Beer/Cornettos/Crack/Porn etc If so you might still be out of luck, Either way I would go round to where he lives, knock on the door and ask for it back.... Let us know how you get on
