  1. Well i have a 125 and that is perfect for domestic work. Where you dont need the chipper running all day! Personnally i think the 125 suits a small crew 2-3 men doing upto largish domestic jobs and the 150 would be better for the crew that is carrying out more commercial clearence work. I have used both in the past and think they are great for what they are designed for. The 125 you do find being able to push into small gardens if needed.
  2. I've heard of this Dave Thomas, The guy i started out with was John "joff" King. He did some work for James Waugh back in the day. I think he is taking it easier now but he is still climbing a bit and he's 69!!!
  3. I had a couple of pairs of BLOC glasses. Good quailty for the money (ie there not so expensive if you lose them you dont feel too bad)
  4. Ok i know the harness threads have been done to death, but i wanted any ones opinion who has gone from the Tree magic to the Petzl. Pros, Cons any info welcome. Please dont say buy a Treemotion or a Skylotec or a Butterfly. I use the tree magic at the moment and am happy ish. i would just like to know how the Sequoia compares. Informed users comments please... ... Thank You
  5. No worries Dean,

The bodies are quality like you say, Mine still looks like the day i bought it. It will definitley outlast the truck so you can bolt it onto the next one.

  6. Hi Dean

I spoke to steve at Searles, about the chip body for your landy. He did say that he couldnt find an email from you. He's not one to bullshit and he defintley wouldnt turn work away. So he wondered if you could contact them again. You might have got one made up by now. But if you hav'nt they would be worth a pop.

Are you going to Capel Manor? Might catch you there

    Cheers

    Chris

  10. I really couldnt care less about burping but i do hate them oil caps with a passion the screw down one are loads better. Plus i want to see this go four pages MwHAAhaaHaa:devil-smiley-017:
  11. Get you line clearence tickets and book em in for the future... Crazy
  12. Here you go for referance. By the way the AUS poles click together as well. and work great with a pole saw head. Sandvick head probaly cuts an inch and a half.
  13. Mark The jameson head works better for the smaller stuff up to 3/4" i would say. My sandvick head cuts 1" plus its got an extra pulley on it so you can have a small three in one advantage which easily lets one man do the job.
  14. As 18 said they are great when using two or three at a push. I use the jameson pruning head which allows you to make quit accurate cuts. For high reach stuff we use the AUS linesman poles with a sandvick head. The record is ten four foot poles but they are a bit bendy at that height:001_smile: Dont Know what price they go for at the moment but they are well worth a look. Wayyyyy better then the park in myopinion. We got good deal s from the show in the past, and the guys at AUS were good to deal with.
  15. Yep they are great trousers. Did you go for the technical ones or the canvas type. trust me they last a while.
  16. 1' 6" its all about the perspective man
  17. Hey up Dean

Phoned Searles today and Steve is on holiday. (alright for some)

But he has got his laptop with him so hopefully he'll get back to you one way or the other.

    Chris

  18. Dean They are a family run business, Steve and his wife run the office as well as workshop. Maybe they are on holiday? The guys they have in the workshop would'nt answer e-mails. They are good guys so i would 'nt want them getting any bad press on here. Did you try ringing them? Chris
  19. Gotta say that they do a absolutely great job. If the price is right you will not be dissapointed.
  20. Actully Dean Everything is on there website look under chipper bodies
