  2. Not sure Steve! I think they might only be available with a rear handle from looking at the UK site
  3. Anyone else used one, I'm gettin one in a few weeks there great for climbing with if you have lots of cutting but not great on the big stuff. MS 150 TC-E - Extrem leichte 1,0kW Baumpflegesäge
  4. I haven't use it yet. Still the zigzag still looks like you'll get a bit of sit back as it function is like a knot whereas the lockjack you shouldn't get any! Oh and welcome to the forum.
  5. Okay so it's Xmas and I might take the plunge of the ZK-2, why I ask myself?good question, but it seems that I have the tendency to try and relate to what people think is good and bad. But I have sat down and thought about how it could make my life easier in certain situations, I used the ZK-1 but never got on with the way I set it up, but now all of you have been getting "stiffys" it seems function much better. Any tips for the set up and where you find it best use
  6. Hey mark! When I was doing some woodland work and for the trees that do need to much grunt as in the full Tifor power the GRCS came out and I use a separate line for winching when using a few more pulleys to create a 4.1 the loads soon stack up on the line. I'll see if I can find some pics when we use it in the woods when I get home at Xmas
  7. I agree it's expensive, but if you think you will use it once or twice a month, when you get one you'll use it more every month. As time progresses you'll look at rigging trees differently Now I'm going to read the whole thread!
  8. I have always used these over ther the last 4 yrs I think, normally last about 1yr maybe a little longer depending how much you kick stuff along the floor when helping out on the ground. I don't bother footlobking much now so they last a tad longer. Trango S EVO Ultra-light 3-season alpine climbing boot from La Sportiva On the up side you can buy a winter version for colder climates and there goretex On the down side there expensive.
  9. Thanks for sharing! I need to take my GoProHD2 out sometime soon. Just never get time to edit or should I say do something with it...
  10. A small video of a job i had done back in august. Nothing amazing but i thought i'd still share it with you all anyway. Enjoy.
  11. I had put my lanyard around the stem where i was installing my pulleySAVER, i had taken my Ultra-O carabiner off and clipped over the lanyard rope so it was able to slide along it and out of sight to around the back of the stem. I then put my eye splice through the pulleySAVER and couldn't see the carabiner that i had clipped onto the lanyard. i looked again and seen there was one on my Anchor ring (and never gave it anymore thought) so put that on clipped in and then took my lanyard off and what do you know the carabiner i couldn't fine came flying off to the ground. I was very happy that i came first overall on the day of the prelims, it was areal confidence booster and a day i won't forget.
  12. A great comp and allot of fun had by all. I never will clip a carabiner to the rope on my lanyard as when you unclip your lanyard it flys off. it would of been a different result. I'm sure of it!
  13. I never thought the Spider jack or lock jack have ever looked like a friction hitch.
  14. ill see you at the trade fair, ill be there for the two days
  15. Actually there is a way to retrieve the inline anchor:confused1:
  16. Yes my pops will be there on the Saturday. If your on a bugdet for your rigging gear ISC, I have both so I can really say to much.
  17. I have sponsors, wahoo I'm a charity case! Yes the new ISC blocks have smooth edges too, but I'd still reckon the impact block will last longer. Adam you going to the uk tcc
  18. I'm not sure what to say. are you really put of from buying something that has been designed and tested for its intended use, just because it's over £50. This is a wind up for sure. If you want something that will save you money buy the sml impact block. Why? The rounded edges will limit the wear on your rope. I only say this as your wanting to save a few squid.
