  1. Cheers Rupe, It was a fun packed weekend as always!!! I had a good climb for once in the masters, but nearly didnt get in as they forgot to enter my rescue points, but they only realised as i asked to see the scores at midnight on saturday just after they said who got in. so it was a late night followed by an early morning.
  2. Ditto, but hey i wouldnt dream of letting a girl guide come near my dogs as they would eat them....JOKE
  3. I'm sure you don't need that DMM fatboy craig!!! happy xmas
  4. as daft as it may sound, and someone might shoot me down for saying such a thing, but here goes. if you measure your rope after you have milked it, im pretty sure it would be the same length as it was when you brought it. 1m of milking is not that much really. if you milked a 60m rope you can get more..
  5. Cheers rupe!! Jon had a superb climb from start to finish and the weather was 37c. I on the the other hand managed to throw my rope bundle over a bracnh to advance higher in the tree which managed to flip round and tie itself of tho the branch. couldn't do it again if i tried. Well done Jon and Phillipa
  6. Dean it does have that problem, i belive its due to the hydrulic pressure, i have had someone come out a few times before and adjust the ram on the yoke and the roller pressure. dropping the flap underneath it helps a bit but you end up with loads of waste on the ground.
  7. The body was made by Tipmaster. Steve the chipper is a Bandit 90 (9inch), a very nice chipper it is too.
  8. Just short of 10k it has been fitted with a pto tipper also.
  9. here it is
  10. i never uploaded the pic,, stupid boy!!!
  11. Here is a picture of one of my chip trucks, its a 7.5ton canter it has a 12ft chip box and 2ft locker. Its a great truck and its qiute suprising how many places we have got it in too, brilliant turning radius.
  12. Ha i bet a husky could catch one quicker than a collie, but it would be a blood bath.... Just thought i'd mention that.
  13. hello tree monkey. i have two Siberian Husky's they are a handful but great fun to be with as they are alaways outside with us. Northern inuit are suppose to be a little better of the lead so to speak, as its not that common that you can have a husky of the lead as often as you would like. One thing to remember is with this type of breed is that they will always be fighting (Not literally) for dominance as they are very strong headed. they are pack animals after all.
  14. i haven't used it yet pete but i might get a lenght to see what its like.
  15. i think so. As you would only save £15 buy joining the chapter that is if you compete in all 4 events. Thats probable the price of the FREE Samurai hand-saw or baseball cap you get to choose between.
  16. Just had a look at the entry form for this years TCC's, i was stunned at the price that non-members will have to pay £50 a comp. but if you join the ISA UK-I chapter for £85 then you only have to pay £25. I fear that the new climbers will be put of by the cost. what your view on this? constructive replys only about this post.
  17. i will be there.
  18. Yes i work in the industry have done for 11years now. how about you what you up too.
  19. Naturally it depends on what type of work you do, we just brought a 7.5t Canter so we can tow the big chipper and to it when full and still be legal. but sure we can tow the chipper to the job with one of the transits but you could only put about "Umm let me think" not alot of wood chips in the back before your overloaded.
  20. I lives in sunny Salisbury
  21. Adam i see your just up the road from me. hello isn't it funny how smal the world is.
  22. Yeah that why we brought the 10" bandit, as the crushing ram was the cherry on the top, but your right about he infeed as it can pull more in great for those horrible conifers
  23. Mr Ed which chipper is that i know its a DYMECH, it looks like a beast i guess not alot would stop it in its path.
  24. If you were to buy a brand new chipper for all round use. as its always difficult to know whats best as when you see them in use or demo them, there all perfect. But time always tells if its proved to be a worthy investment or asset.
  25. But great when it was brand new i bet. We brought a 10" which is great for the work we do, but the hydraulic pressure keeps needing adjusting to proform 100% slightly annoying. but ill stop before this thread changes. Oh go for the Navara 100% better than the L200
