  1. iMovie on the mac is good enough! until you get bored with its limits, fun easy and simple to use. I've been thinking of the new go pro hero2 you get more frames per second and better picture quality too and there will be a wireless remote soon too. http://gopro.com/gopro®-launches-hd-hero2®-camera-announces-wi-fi-remote-control-and-video-streaming/ The wifi remote will work with the hero1 and 2 but it will not stream live images to a computer. I think the best bit is that YOU can control upto 50 gopro's at one time with the remote so you can do away with another camera man. Hope this helps
  2. I have two pair of boots that I take to work, miendl airstream, and either scarpa pro accent-for summer or la sportiva tango s gtx all year round. Good topic this, in my opinion! you shouldn't be in a work position in a tree where you'd be cutting next to you feet. For felling work and ground work I think it's a must.
  3. We are all wee thanks Wayne, I'll say hi to Hume when I see him at Xmas. Hope your well and keeping busy, I tried to see you recent video but can't watch it in Germany not sure why, but I'll check it out soon.
  4. Nice to see some different picture in picture stuff going on there Ian. Have you seen that there will be a wi-fi remote for the hero2
  5. How hardy are they! Pretty hard wearing for how comfortable they are. And if you do wear anything out on it you can replace it easily. I am only on my second treemotion since 2007, I had only to replace the leg to hip webbing. And bridge. Ask a supplier to send you one to try out, surely they would do that if your likely to buy one. As long as they had a deposit at full cost.
  6. Perfect worlds dak, I really must try and write more for advice.
  7. Go and Try one and see for yourself! For me it's a must have!
  8. I like your signature! 1968:biggrin:
  9. Yes rigging is completly different on time wise, the cradle I set was just a big bowline with clove hitches at each balance point, doesn't take much time to set either. I prefer to use spider legs or if there are lots of cradling then a hub or plate. Limb up chig down- This is true, I was on a job and it ok the owner 3 weeks to clear up. Enough said!
  10. The Weston red cedar was chipped and wood cut into 1mtr lengths, some may of been bigger? One fell was left for the forester to clear, the the same for the others.
  11. That one always amazes me! Well we had a Weston red cedar to fell 17m and another oak19m to fell and reduce some heavy limbs on another oak 22m we had left site and on the next job by 1:30pm. And this still has no bearings on what we done as the oak fell video is the only tree we needed to rig down. Take it as you like but I don't like the "this took me this long and I'm cool??" Not directed at you josh but I don't like the macho way, way too many people try to be the fastest rather than the most efficient. But this is not the topic. Cheers josh! Hope you well!
  12. Sometimes, well most the time I guess and I get to travel to rather than being stuck on a small island! On my days off I do prune aswell, but it's not often!
  13. Foiled again! I'm sure one day soon I'll get to use my rigging gear. Apart from just my sling.
  14. Nice stuff. looked like good fun I think I might even compete this year at the uktcc. Not sure when it is or where??
  15. Dadio, I want to say that I enjoy watching your videos, you show allot of balls that most wouldn't do. Do you have shares in topsoil company!! Just a light joke man! Looking forward to seeing you next video.
  16. Here is my first video for the panel!! It was a small oak tree around 20m, nothing exciting i have a few videos I'm working on at the moment to share soon. enjoy this little one.
  17. Move maybe and get a garage?? Bit extreme maybe?
  18. On second thoughts just get the wife to help you! And then it will make it easier for you anyway?
  19. A box with wheels? or no wheels! Neither of which will help the 3flights of stairs, all that will happen is youll get a bigger box that has wheels and then it'll be so heavy you'll just leave it in the vehicle. I'll would look for transport boxes rather than storage boxes, maybe you'll find something.
  20. if you want to be able to stack multiple storage boxes then i would say to get these Alubox 81l kaufen Sie bei Globetrotter Ausrüstung! i have one of these in my van and i can store: x1 60m 11mm climbing line, x1 80m 10mm access line, x1 climbing harness, x1 throw line cube x1 pair of spikes,x1 10m & 3m lanyard, SRT gear and a assortment of slings and carabiners. i will take pics for you and post soon. as for rigging lines your best bet is the flexible tubs. like the ones deer man is on about, so your groundy can put it in with ease
