  1. I,m 50 in one months time and I can get up a tree, get out to the tips, and bring it down fast and efficiently. I get sometimes get frustrated when on the ground watching other climbers taking three times longer than it should take. Climbing isn't about speed, it's about efficiency, efficient climbing and cutting can be extremely fast

  5. Third phase of this weeks job was felling 6 roadside ash for a school. Opportunity for school kids to see a big tree felled. Prepped the tree ready then got all the kids and staff out in the playground, roughly 150 ish 5-10 year olds, gave them a five minute talk then signalled my groundy to cut the holding wood. Hardest thing about the day was trying to silence 150 kids so I could talk Kids are behind green fence in first pic Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  12. Good point..three wire or two wire solonoid ?
  13. Do the solonoids have serial numbers, could be a bad batch of solonoids if you are getting them from the same dealer. Can't see any other reason why they would fail unless your charging voltage is very high from the alternator, which would drastically reduce its life but would also reduce your batteries life too
  14. Thylakoid lumen Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. Also look at the csf Multione website, couple of things I don't like about the a ants are the single offset boom, csf have ladder boom and avant have a rigid frame they don't swing. GT 950
  16. Been getting it wrong, mine is equivalent to the 7 series the 745 which is quite a large machine and is quite wide with the flotation tyres on and works out the same width as the bucket which is 1.6m
  17. If you are wanting one for predominantly domestic work, you need the little skid steers, they can handle almost the same weights. The articulated ( especially the 600 ) are large machines in comparison, so are more suited to commercial work or large domestic/ schools etc. The difference is the articulated machines are quick and can cover larger sites fast. There's not many domestic sites I have used mine on ( mine was bought mainly as a yard machine) but I have used it many times on parks, church's, schools, grave yards and woodland. I did one job with it that paid a quarter of the machine off in one go and I still made a good wedge on top. One more advantage with the skidsteer is they will fit in the back of your truck to get it and the chipper to site in one go where the artics will have to be trailered
  18. If its free go for it, if it costs don't Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. I paid £12k for my csf with 350 hours which is equivalent to the 600 series
  20. I do 25% off for unseasoned split load, people go mad for it and it keeps the pile down in my yard. It also doesn't make me any less busy during the winter
  21. You've just done exactly that with a forst
  22. Wrong.... Simon mentioned Bandit
  23. But they aren't messy, they aren't slow. You haven't used or had experience of one long enough to give such a bad review Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Ian you don't have to keep it 20 years mate, the resale value of a bandit that is still in good working order would be much better than a tinny one that's worn out Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
