  1. I've had mine going on six year Simon, it had one non serviceable part on it which was a £1.50 pin that come out on the injector pump. There is still no signs of wear and im just about to change the "original" anvil. When you come to chip big wide sheets of ivy and bushy hawthorn, you would count your blessings you chose bandit (-: Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Beat me to it. I was going to say a machine can't be judged on a demo or after a few weeks of use, the test is over time
  3. There you go, I knew timber wolf would "chip" in at some point with the correct values 😊 Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. I didn't loctite the fin bolts as I used new nuts and bolts, but even so, loctiting them won't do any harm, it will just be extra secure, the most important thing is torquing them evenly to the correct torque which I got from timberwolf, can't remember what it was though
  5. I,ve been exactly the same, getting stressed out over loaded with work. Simple answer is put your prices up, you may not be too cheap but the guess is you are cheaper than many others. They maybe after you because of recommendation, in which case they will still be willing to pay a little extra for quality. I put my prices up by a £100 per day last year and I,m still running round like a headless chicken but I feel better because the reward for the stress is a little better.

  7. Stress can be adjusted to cut in sooner it's. programmable Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Infeed isn't slow in reality, slowing the infeed means the stress control doesn't kick in as often there fore less stop time. If timberwolf slowed their roller speed the stress wouldn't kick in a thousand times a minute, I find that very annoying and unnecessary. The mess everywhere is easily solved by extending the chute by 18", why the hell global haven't taken this on board after everyone has expressed their concerns is beyond me. All this about it causes chute blockage is crap, I've extended mine 2ft and never had a chute blockage in 5 years or so With the chute extension there is no overspill whatsoever Rollers jamming is a problem but it gets better. I found going against advice of leaving the bottom trap door open make it much better. If you never open the trap door and leave it to build hard crap up in the void the shape of the bottom roller it doesn't jam anywhere near as much. All in all the bandit is a much better built machine than 90 percent of the Chippers on the market, things don't fall off, infeed hoppers don't bell out and they rarely break down. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another bandit
  9. They feel unstable j but with counter weights and water ballast in the wheels they are awesome, just takes a bit of getting used to. Mine is same as big avant, did a storm damage beech that fell from a woodland into a garden. Cut the head off the stem, threw a line over a crotch in a neighbouring tree down to the stem and yanked it back upright and over in the opposite direction to cut up in the wood. Then shoved it back into the hole to fill it back in. The little machine is a tough mudder and I'd hate to estimate the weights and forces involved Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. X - rings when they are round And "absolutely" for agreeing with someone is, at the moment, the most over used word in the English language and irritates the crap out of me. Started, no doubt by the office brigade
  11. Or you could introduce a tape sling between you and the ZZ for long ascents and fly up the tree by just pulling on the tail of the rope with both hands. Many years ago I used to climb on the sports jack which is the same as the lock jack but has a tape sling built in and it was brilliant, I then moved to the lock jack and used a tape sling of my own which I could detach easily when not needed and now do the same with the ZZ. I think the ZZ is better with the sling
  12. Why don't you electrify the machines with a sheep fence zapper. It will be the same people coming back each time, you just need to train them like you do a dog. If the machine is sat on rubber tyres or tracks then it's dead simple, just drive in an earth spike and connet the pulse terminal to the machine and earth to the spike Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Ian is upset because he has the sister of that particular 201. He has some sophisticated software normally only available to MI5 which can analyse video and macro zoom. He could make out the serial number of the saw in question which was only one digit away from his own. This means that particular saw spent so much time on the production line conveyor next to his own and was its sister. The editing software also picks up sound inaudible normally and he could hear the pleas of mercy that the little saw was pleading has Reg was planning his murder. The little saw could be heard screaming has the monstrous 4x4 wheel struggled at first to climb onto saw, the little thing was squirming in agony, again only audible to Ian with his MI5 software. The squealing of agony fell to a murmur as the full weight of the vehicle was borne and the little saw fell silent. Without the software the video was just a video, but to Ian it was torture, seeing and hearing his saws sister being murdered in such a brutal fashion was just too much and he had to speak out. Reg..he forgives you as you were not to know 201's have a spirit and feelings, not many of us did, there are only a select few with this software and it is top secret stuff, I have broken my silence and grassed about the software to stop this happening again in future. Please stop murdering the little saws, it is not their fault they are the product of inept genetic engineers, they are born innocent, if anyone is to be made a scapegoat blame Stihl themselves, the faceless shites. The ones that try to dictate who we buy from and and where and make us listen to health and safety talks when we buy our little saws. Please forgive him Reg, he has been having nightmares and treatment since listening to the torturous noises from your video
  14. Use mine all the time with tachyon, not the slightest sign of any wear Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. What you have got to think of is if things don't go to plan, can you afford another long term economic downturn
  16. Nature has all the answers.. Safety in numbers, go it alone and you are more vulnerable. Nostalga doesn't pay the bills, head down and looking to the future does
  17. A basic search will bring up results. By ek, 1800, see that's the problem with you jocks, you can't forget the past
  18. See your looking at them from a prejudicial point of view not from a business point of view. I don't particularly like the royal family buy I do love them as a business, if you had a business that had running costs of £30m that returned £500m you, d have to be thick as pig shite to wrap the business up. They also have a very high commercial value, we have only taken into account tourism People need to look at the wider picture and take off their blinkers Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. Where would you like all the stuck up nobs to relocate to then, Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool ? They,ll still be nobs where ever they are
  20. The royal family may cost 31million per year ( personally I think the figure is a little higher ) but I believe at last count they generated 1/2 a billion in tourism alone in the uk.
  21. Aye, there's not many of us that can claim a full pedigree. Most of us are mongrels and in the future pedigree humans will be very very rare Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. He slurries the footpaths. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. I used some 400 grade last year which wouldn't come out of the filler when it was cold, I use 100 grade now in cold weather
