  1. Think for that lot its about 186 Canadian dollars. You shouldn't have to buy another throw bag!
  2. I would say it increases in winter!
  3. This is RopeArmours Rope knight. As you can see it comes in a smart box with lots of spares and accessories. If you don't know its made in Canada. There are no less than seven Canadian emblems in here, a couple of coins and lots of character stickers to personalise it. First impressions are good, very well made. Only had a quick play with it so far and it hasn't got stuck yet although it did take a little maneuvering to free it from a very tight crotch which I am sure my throw bag would have got stuck in! I will do an in depth review and stick a video of it in action when I get time.
  4. If he's working for you he doesn't need insurance he uses yours. Weather he's on the books or not if your paying or not he is your employee.
  5. Otley is pumping out kids with no further experience. It's a good course but be prepared to get a reality check when you've done it. I get 1 or 2 people a month asking for jobs from Otley. You can't give everybody a chance!
  6. Mine now has the glow plug light permanently on with the ignition!
  7. Bulldog OAR, Surveyor makes them, not unlike a unicender.
  8. Think it was Sherrill or Treestuff, cant remember! You could wait for it to get CE marked! Could be a while there though!! Tax is a pain!!
  9. Dan for me it was just more kit to have to fine tune and I find it much easier with a pantin and if needed a hand ascender and foot loop. I sometimes use LOTS but more often than not I don't. How did you get on with my Unicender?
  10. Dan, I gave up with that idea ages ago. I had mine to the hand ascender though. Annoyed me with the hassle of set up.
  11. http://www.arboristapp.com
  12. Airstream, Zermatts, or Tyrol fighters, all good boots.
  13. Good case for a vertical speed line. This would stop the sections rolling away.
  14. When's the bloody saw coming out!!!!!! Waited forever and I still want one!
  15. In real problem parking areas I have stuck a letter through every door, if there in the way then I just crack on!
  16. Pete, empty your in box!!
  17. For each meter that a log is allowed to free fall multiply its original weight by 3+1. E.g 1m free fall with 4ft x12 inch diameter beech. Shock load of- 80kg x3 = 240kg + 80kg shock load 320kg 2m free fall of 4ft x12 inch diameter beech. 80kg x 6 = 480kg +80kg= 550kg
  18. Dan, it looks like a twisted clevis from a chandlers.
  19. The purple one that Kevin had looked smart!
  20. My aim when rigging is to get the tree down as safe as possible and as quick as safety allows! I do not have figures planned. I work within my equipments SWL that's all compatible. I avoid dropping anything where possible and like to use the GRCS to achieve this.
  21. Wondered why or how you would use the O rig on SRT, now your pic makes sense!
