  1. Drew, if I left a butterfly in the middle of my rope I would have a 40m tail. One do the benefits of SRT is you can adjust the tail length.

Maybe if you made the brackets smaller when you attach the the horizontal piece to the brackets you could use a much smaller piece which in turn would mean you could have a smaller first cut when planking? To add stability you could fix the horizontals to the face with screws. This is a method used on the Alaskan site but using all wood. Like it, think I may try it!

  14. Use a set of castration ring pliers. On the big shot that is!

  16. Direct from the site. A. RopeKnight with RopeShield + Bolt + Bored S.S weight= 136 grams or 4.9 ounces + 95 grams or 3.35 ounces = 231 grams or 8.25 ounces. B. RopeKnight with RopeShield + Bolt + Solid S.S weight = 136 grams or 4.9 ounces + 148 grams or 5.2 ounces = 284 grams or 10.1 ounces. Maximum weight: of RopeKnight with addition of metal + split ring + lanyard clip + spare bolt = 352 grams or 12.5 ounces
