  1. I tend my ART positioner one handed with Tachyon.
  2. Yes. I would recommend an alpine butterfly though. If you have come down more or less straight it should pill out from the ground.
  3. I have seen it melt. It's strong but not good with friction and heat. The manufactures don't recommend it's use.
  4. 1. Don't use Amsteel blue or variants of! 2. Use pulleys and tie to the stem. Do not have hardware when negative rigging the pieces, the forces could be huge and the cycle to failure rate on the hardware is not good! Modern double braids should be used with pulleys
  5. If you only have enough to reach the ground and you come through a crotch it will be a redirect and require more line to reach the ground.
  6. Nice big tree! My only thoughts are could he have felled it lower and made a better or safer cutting position? He would have had to clear round the back of it but he then could have stood on the ground for the gob cut which he made a nice neat job of.
  7. Get comfy, start reading this thread from the beginning!
  8. Cheaper still is a spic hitch on a krab.
  9. Thanks Gordon although I am a unicender user as you know. How's the OAR coming on?
  10. Dan, the last pic was one he sent for Kevin to try and it has the singing tree logo on it.
  11. A nice timely reminder! Thanks Spike!!
  12. Perhaps you could show it set up?
  13. Thanks Dean, I will have a look at that later.
  14. My Carb has H,L,LA adjustments. Filter cleaned including fuel filter. Checked all bolts and hoses. Can't see any visible splits or holes. Seems to be running ok, I will stick a tank of fuel through it and see if I can get it to play up!
  15. I was going to say its just another hammock or tree boat type thing but it isn't, its a suspended tent!!
  16. Thanks Drew, I can do without additional wear on my Unicender!
  17. Thanks, interesting reading!
  18. Rich, I am not saying you shouldn't do it, what I am saying is Richard has all the bases covered for MOD funding through the likes of ELC etc. if you had to pay for your accommodation that's fine but you should have more than made up for it by claiming for your food and travel! You should not have been out of pocket and if you were its your pay office or admin offices fault!
