  1. Everybody loves a good sunset, this was tonight’s offering; setting over the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, 14/04/2010. If you see a good’un - post it here, with a date and location.
  2. You've sold me mate, I've got a few grand kicking about - how about a National Network?
  3. Amazing find! Anyone been on Utube to see if there is a part 2?
  4. I’ll watch this thread with interest - I have a friend who’s a civil engineer and he and I were both thinking of going in together and offering the Air Spade as a service as it would both benefit him and myself. Good thread!
  5. Know how you feel fella, I’m having an extreme case of a 10 year itch!
  6. Can’t believe no one has commented about the missing reflective sleeve on the cone, shame on you!
  7. Just my attempt to ‘sex-up’ a story mate, we actually used an old steel-cored flip line to secure the two stems together. Considering the weight of that wood it was amazing how it held together.
  8. :001_rolleyes:Amazing what you see working on the highways… [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuwCVd6URms]YouTube - 12042010.mp4[/ame]
  9. I’m 40 and up in till last year was climbing every day. I’ve recently taken on two new guys who both love climbing so I’m letting them take the lead role.
  10. It a good question you asked though mate – I’d keep it open, hopefully David will contribute, I for one would love to mimic the more natural look – I think that’s what we should all be working towards..
  11. I agree Steve, I think a lot of our ‘natural’ coronets and fractures could be a lot more natural looking – that’s why I started this thread so we could study the fractures as nature intended… http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/13929-naturally-formed-coronets-fractures.html Stick your pics in here mate when you have a moment...
  12. As the others have said, wonderful, wonderful work of art.
  13. It was nice to meet you today elesar, sorry I couldn’t chat longer (you caught us at a busy time). We’ll be back on that job next week – if you’re passing drop-by and say hello! John.
  14. From the look of picture 1 Mike it looks like the tree could take the complete removal of that R/H limb. Well spotted that man! A good example of what lays hidden from ground based inspections.
  15. Think there are a few of those in here Kat1e..
  16. Bugger! – Wasn’t expecting pictures of tractors and chippers...
  17. I’ve had ours in on a day rate before, give him a nice warm room, plenty of cups of tea and sort all the kit beforehand (listing everything you’ve got) – it’ll pay dividends!
  18. Good call mate!! Eyes like hawks - love to see another picture to see if your right
