  1. No job Lee. But could be another string to our bow.
  2. That would be good....Cheers
  3. Anyone know anything about this. It is quite common in the states, but I am struggling to find info on the subject relating to trees in the UK. ie. Any tree firms offering the service. What quals do you need for installation. Who are the trainers. BS Standards relating to trees. Thought it might be another string to our bow.
  4. About 50% of the time probrably...mostly on trees with ivy.
  5. Nice Ross.....Did you have a go on the quad:driver:

  7. Yeah... The catch is that as soon as they have your details you will be approached for a bigger ad in the Yellow Pages and an enhanced ad on yell.com ££££££££££££££ But you don't have to have them.

  9. The last thing you'll be thinking about is changing your climbing system.
  10. Do not have a first aid kit on harness. But do have a shell dressing taped to it. Not too much tape incase you need it in a hurry. Would like to see what's in some of those personal first aid kits.....Bet they are as much use as tits on a fish. .....And when climbing how many people could actually get to them on the back of their harness. Would agree with Dean tho.......get on the ground as soon as you can. REMEMBER THE SEVEN Ps Prior planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance. Hence I will donate to the Paras...and hopefully get the new style FFD.

  14. First time with vt I wish I knew what I'm struggling on too Steve...lol would be great to see a vid tho. See where I am going wrong. Have scanned 'you tube' but only seen it being set up...no one ascending with it.
  15. Oh no.....I used a VT (silver streak with a couple of fishermans). But when I couldn't get the hang of it, tried the Hitch Climber instead of a basic pulley to advance the prussic. As I usually do. vid would be great Steve ...Cheers
  16. Anyone got a vid of someone 'ascending' on a Hitch Climber. I got mine today (Cheers Jonsie) and just cannot get the knack. Did find however that the Hitch Climber's top hole was better (smoother) for advancing my basic prussic.
  17. Job (I did not get) phones me up and says the people who got the job have not got ladders long enough. They actually turned up and had second thoughts. Could I do the job....Grrrrrrr
  18. I pay about £1100 with Trust Insurance (5million Public Liability, 10 million EL and 500,000 prof indemnity. Turnover of about 50,000
  19. Make sure the vents are removed or open on your helmet. Lots of people don't realise they are on there. And ........keep drinking.
