  4. can get nice shapes on them, easy for boshing back to healthy internal growth. thats if theres a good landing zone. did one with highscale a few years back. only a small garden to work into. good fun, just took our time and sent everything through the centre of the crown. avoid if you can, working in tem in winds, most infuriating:)

  11. thats quite an interesting debate tana. did a eucy, last year that was lifting on the root plate, in strong winds. thankfully all went well and it landed perfectly in the car park, not the oap dwellings right next to it. wouldn,t have made such a humourous vid. fairplay fer sharing it
  12. i had a accident whilst grounding about 2 years ago. we were lowering a conifer stem through a pulley system, when a ivy clad piece was lowered, heavier than anyone expected. i had my foot on a gate post to help with the weight. basically whats classed as the weak point:) my ankle folded and i was on crouches for 5 weeks with torn ligaments. the hozzy said that without my boots my ankle would have snapped. shame really, would have got a better insurance pay out. but just to prove, boots help more than you think
  13. another nice vid, so you favour a guttsier husky over a robust stihl, interesting:scared1:

  15. had a customer last wednesday, in the torrential rain, who waited for the boss to get to the top, before asking if we wanted tea? then went out between 11 and 2, then asked again. no, i said, he's been down had din dins and got back up. Then, when she came out at 5.30pm(we've both grown gills by now) she looked at the tree and said "thats awful", i had to smile and agree. sometimes it is better to get up there and do it yerself
