    The system was around a while before the Lycra crew got involved. In The Spotlight: Boa Brand Profile | GearJunkie GEARJUNKIE.COM Click. Twist. Tighten. The simple concept of a better way to lace athletic gear launched the brand... I used them in snowboard boots years ago. It is a great system until something goes ‘Ping’.

    I don’t recall him being much more than a clown on a bike whilst spouting Lies on the side of a bus. If that is the definition of a good Lord Mayor of London, I bet Dick Whittington’s cat is turning in his grave. Also, if I remember correctly the Boris Bikes were introduced by Ken.

    It was a fair few years ago and the memory isn't all that these daze! If I remember correctly it was 10K per day shutdown for Network rail and then we had to wait for their say so. It was done over a bank holiday weekend. 5 or 6 guys on site, minimum double time, triple for the monday. MEWP, 50M tower crane for 2 days then the 60M for the last day. Grab lorries coming and going most of the day, plus special mats had to be fabricated for the cranes. The Mats were 12K a piece x 4.

    No idea of the cost but this was another large job I was involved in on the ground. 3 days and 12 or so Lombardiis, and Oak and a cherry. Some other details in the thread. Network rail closure for 3 days. To add.

    Be able to climb and do almost everything. Or everything if given a little supervision. Have the desire to be a lead climber. Or a been there and done that type of climber, who is there to give the younger ones a chance to progress.

    Another great ending to another great day. It was my youngest sons 8th Birthday. Finished the day with cake and a few beers down at the local sand pit.

    Mick did the first bit for the documentary. me and Mick did the chopping for the disposal into landfill. I still get flashbacks when I smell whale meat cooking.

    Cheers TA. the missus father cold smokes fish. He has a little brick structure with chimney pots out the back going about 15 feet up a hill. Sets a fire in the bottom and sprinkles the saw chips and usually some sprigs of Juniper. At at the top of the chimney he has an oak barrel with usually Trout or Artic Char hanging. Cover the fire at the bottom leaving a small vent and then the top is covered. Next day you have smoked trout for breakfast.

    Was part of a crew that reduced a Very Large London Plane tree in London. 2 climbers and 2 or 3 groundsmen for 2 days. No idea of the cost but the company wasn't cheap and every bit had to be lowered. The tree covered 6 gardens. It was a long time ago... and probably the most expensive RJ I have been involved with.

    Try speaking to the European Arboricultural Council EAC. They might be able to help. different country I know, but in Norway most places want European Treeworker Certificate. Even though it isn’t really a patch on the UK qualifications. I guess you have to tow the line and follow the rules intheir country. Good Luck. Edit: just looked up the ECC and it isn’t ran by the EAC.

    No, not the midnight sun. It was in a beach in Ibiza called Calla Vadella. Just some strange light going on and my kids were playing in the see. Taken about 21.20 the other day.

    Just wondering, I am not an expert at smoking food but I have only ever seen chips and sawdust used to cold smoke fish and meats by my father in law. Helps to to enhance the flavour of course but would logs not actually cook the meat that was intended for smoking? Looking to be educated and not trying to be a smart Alec.

    It did look as though a lot of the pieces came back at you? At least the v cut allowed you to get out of the way. What was was the reason for the cuts coming at you?

    Nice work there. It did seem a bit excessive use of the V cuts but then again I wasn’t there and the tree came down safely, so all is good.

    Op is hard cord. takes a while to settle in. It takes even longer if the cord is too long. Go for a 70ish e2e or buy a few metres and tie your own.

    Yes, it is great. if you are serious about learning SRT it will be the best 40usd you ever spend. Plus, why not support climber driven Projects. Imagine how much time and effort it took to produce the series of vids? Again, the best 40usd you could spend.
