  1. Have been training Muay Thai for quite a few years. I started training BJJ last year but haven't been for a while as I twisted my knee. there is a thread I started years ago in Muay Thai some where on this 'ere forum. Now I train MT as my 11 year old son started training when he was about 5. He fights, so as I take him training and its an incentive to train myself. We went to Thailand training earlier this year for three weeks. Trained everyday apart from Sunday's, somedays twice a day. Both kids loved it.
  2. They're are looking for fluffers mate...
  3. Are you after a new mill by any chance Joe? Haha, nice try!
  4. Personally I don't care what the primary contractor is earning. Other than I hope it is enough for them to ask me back as I am not cheap. I have worked for people though and then said never again. Various reason but usually because they are clueless, useless monkeys.
  5. Where are you exactly? I used to live in Lewisham and work for a lot of firms around Bexley, Dartford and Kent. i would recommend Kong Tree Care, based in Bexley.
  6. Yeah, the trick is not to test the limits of falling compared to survival rates.
  7. Just taken a picture of mine Mick.
  8. Cheers. He asked the question, I'll give him the answer.
  9. Does anyone have any ideas what this is? I removed a pine for a client about 3 weeks ago. He has started to split up the logs for firewood and sent me this picture. Can anyone help with the ident? Thanks.
  10. Take and egg cup and fill it with sugar. Boil the kettle and fill the egg cup with it. When the sugar dissolves you'll have a very sugary solution. Soak a small piece of clean linnen or bandage in the solution. Then fold over a few times and tape it over the wound overnight. The sugary solution helps to bring the Thorn to the surface.
  11. It's good your already of the advantages. But you only need to know the skills you will be assessed on. A bit like your driving test. You learn how to drive to pass the test. Then, you become a rally driver. learn the syllabus for the nptcs, then do what you want after that.
  12. That would annoy the shit out of me. You should have said, "why didn't you tell me that on the phone and it would have saved you a trip to the dentist!!! Bosh!" Obviously the above is a joke, but those sort of antics certainly boil my pee.
  13. The general rule of thumb is that if the head is sticking in the target then it has hit the target with the head. If the axe hits on the handle and bounces away, the general consensus is you made impact with the handle. or did you mean for your presumed attack by zombies? it is all down to the rotations, same as knife throwing. i guess practice makes you better.
  14. I like to work as little as possible for the most most I can make. I don't want to enter a race to the bottom and I definitely won't be pricing against people like that. I have knocked my guts out over the years for other people who have priced low. I always thought that even though there were factors we weren't aware of that is was still madness to work for so little. I guess I am in a fortunate position to have some well paying contract climbing companies. That means I can price accordingly and high. If I don't get the work the have less hassle and climb for someone else... if I do win the work I am quids in even after paying for equipment and staff/freelancers.
  15. Incorrect mate, Scotland aren't there.
  16. Really? its coming gnome!
  17. Trust your gear. Concentrate on the task and not where you are doing it. It can be the same going out in a limb at 15 foot or 50 depending on rope angle of course. Get as high an anchor point as possible it makes life a lot easier. have fun.
  18. I made one a few years ago. Still works but I have changed the elastic for some 9mm stuff I got at a chandlers. link to the thread...
  19. I would personally leave it in place until you have the goods in your possession. Not your problem that the grandson or whoever's actions have caused someone's supposed credit card to be declined in M&S. Get the goods then tell the bank it was just shite customer service.
  20. Yes mate. I got mine from Toyota over here and they ordered it with the Hardtop. If they order and fit it, it is covered by their warranty/guarantee. It was the same in the UK when I ordered my previous invincible with hardtop / truckman top. You can get it yourself but if it leaks then you have no comeback.
  21. I have the new Hilux and so far so good. When I ordered the truck I went for a hardtop with side doors. Really handy for getting kit in and out with out haveing to drop the tail gate and clamber in.
  22. Espania 82 wall charts and panini sticker albums. Mexico 86. That penalty goal by Zico. Me and my friends must have practiced that (one step, pause, wait till the keeper dives, then roll it into the opposite side of the net) many a time in my back garden. There has been a lot of memories over the years. I don't tend to follow footy that much these days, but will be watching this thing unfold with my boys as they have the wall chart up in the kitchen and the excitement is rising.
  23. I do believe if you search back through various posts Stefan had a few issues himself a while back. From what I recall it was along the lines of a physical burnout. Sleeping is for losers, don't you know?
