  1. Wow, so much uproar over some artificial grass.!!! IMO there is no need to get your knickers in a twist, it is hardly the crime of the century. The customer wanted a specification and got a price for it which they accepted. Someone did the job and got money in the bank and no one died, was robbed or did anything shady. Yet, he is lambasted for putting money in the bank and food on the table. There are so many self righteous members on here. Get a grip.
  2. Cheers mate. I don’t usually bother myself with trivial events like the news. Now it has started to interfere with my understanding of some jokes on the joke thread, I might have to take an interest from now on.
  3. Who the hell are you all on about?
  4. I am 48 and don’t get it. Would someone please care to explain?
  5. Pfanner Arborist type A for me. Don’t listen to Joe. 😁
  6. I tagged the wrong @PeteB
  7. One was a full port and exhaust mod. the other was just an exhaust mod. Thenother had an exhaust mod but I sold it years ago. The last one I own is for spares or repair. Not a lot left of it tbh. It is like a box of fresh air at the moment LOl.
  8. @Pete B had plenty of issues with his adblue Ranger. There was a quite lengthy thread on here.
  9. Not noticed that myself Matty. I have 3 ms200t’s. Some properly ported by Spud and another with a 11mm hole drilled in the muffler. All three were noticeably more powerful than a stock saw and exhaust.
  10. Drill a hole in the exhaust and retune it.
  11. There are professionals and there are chainsaw users. The summers have been hot for as long as I can remember. As a professional, I just get on with the job and accept it might get a bit sweaty round my bollocks. I d use a chainsaw pretty much every working day though. The chainsaw kecks go on when I am at work. If it’s really hot then I will take them off at lunchtime and once the cutting is done out come the shorts.
  12. Yes, I remember that now. Pretty pathetic IMO. I always cheer on the home nations, whoever they are playing.
  13. Why don’t you want Wales to win Mick? I am sat here rooting for the boyo’s.
  14. Yeah, right o. I believe you. Is that a Ltd Company turnover or a Sole Traders profit?
  15. I think all the answers are here.
  16. As has been said, I put harder woods in the stove once there is a nice bed of embers. Pine usually gets it going and once there is a nice bed, in goes the Ash/Oak/Beech or whatever it is I have stored and seasoned. The fixation the UK has on not burning softwoods amazes me. I am based in Norway and as Andy mentioned Birch is very popular here. We get our flue cleaned by the Kommune every two years. I have burnt a lot of pine and spruce in the 4 years I have lived in this house. Barely any soot comes out when the flue is cleaned.
  17. Had the fire on maybe 10 times already this year. We have had a few cold evenings so far, here in Norway but it is the time of year when it is cold damp but not freezing and snow. I put the stove in as it helps the laundry and work gear dry out quicker and it also lightens the mood when you have been miserable all day grafting in the rain.
  18. The 400 is a great saw. I would recommend it. Very similar weight to a 361 but bags more power. Never really found a place in my workday for a 261. Of course I have used them but find them a bit gutless. Much prefer a bit more grunt.
  19. They come into their own the harder/denser the material. We do a fair bit of fruit tree pruning and small Sorbus in various Housing blocks. Plum, Pear and Apple are fairly dense and these go though 1” cuts quite easily. I don’t care what anyone says, pruning trees like this in the winter over here is enough to fuck even the hardiest of hands. I’ll take all the help I can get. I once got frost bite and nerve damage pruning 15 Silver Birch in about minus 10. It took about 3 months to stop tingling. Now after my little mishap last year, I have permanent nerve damage in 3 fingers of my right hand. The battery Felcos are great.
  20. These are the ones I used. I borrowed them from a friend. They were not cheap but he has a couple of sets so lent them to me after a hand injury. *hand Injury nothing to do with the secateurs. FELCO 802 FELCO.COM Be prepared for a defining moment when you first use the FELCO 802 electric pruning shears. We...
  21. I have used battery powered Felco’s in the past. Great tool when you have to repollard 60+ Lime trees. They have a double press feature which closes them halfway, which is handy for the smaller growth. Only downside is once you press they are closing no matter what is in there. You have to be careful of your bridge, power cord and your fingers.
