  1. Just chop it up. It is on the floor, right? You said it failed in the first post... Or is all the bravado hyperthetical?
  2. A thing of beauty
  3. Just don't call yourself a 'subbie climber'... as the company you are working for will approach their Insurers saying 'blah, blah, blah, subbie this etc' To avoid confusion, use the term Freelance Climber. It has worked for me.
  4. Cool shots Reg. I am really liking the option I found on the Hero to take a shot or time lapse every minute whilst it is recording. You get some dross but some crackers aswell.
  5. Not quite. It was a job to help clear a Sperm Whale after it washed up dead on the beach in Ramsgate. Mick Stockbridge had already helped out with the autopsy the day before and was included in the filming of 'Inside Natures Giants.' We got a call the day after to cut the thing up and help remove it along with a 13t Excavator. More info and pics here... http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/26598-whale-alert-whale-alert.html
  6. Yes there will be a part two. At some point hehe.
  7. I heard contour had gone out of business Benn? maybe a cheap deal could be had. What you using? I have been using the HDHero 3 (as it was free) but battery life is poor.
  8. Lovely job. It's great when you don't have to clear up. Cheers Reg.
  9. One from an unusual job a couple of years ago.
  10. Re: getting the line back, they either wipped it to me or tied it onto my climb line. The wind was a 45 degree'er though. As I lowered it down it was clearing the peacock shed and coming off me at about 45 degrees. The rigging line was 16mm Polydine, just a bit dirty, the lowering device is a Stein 2 ton fixed bollard as opposed to the portywrap type. Along with the impact block the setup can handle most bits as long as you are not proper stupid.
  11. Forgot to mention though, good quality ground crew always make the day run smooth. Cheers.
  12. No worries Mark, cheers.
  13. 16mm Polydine for me.
  14. Have a pantin on mists days for bigger trees. Single or double rope. I still like to footlocker to tail of my line though.
  15. Milky Chance, remember you heard it here... He will be the next Springsteen in your music collection. Haha
  16. Yes it was on a Gopro hero 3 black. Not that I use the remote anyway. Cheers.
  17. Darren, that job was in Kent. Working in UK for about 4 weeks then back out there for Easter with the kids. I used the gopro studio software. Free from their site. Still need to get my head round lots of the features when I get the time.
  18. Will do Benn. Got quite bit of footage working over in. Norway recently. Just need the time...
  19. Cheers Darren, how are you doing?
  20. Cheers. Ross, the tune is by Milky chance. It is called sweet sun from the album sadnecessary. Benn it was lashing down fist thing, then the sun came out so I filmed a bit. Blowing pretty hard by the end of the day though.
  21. A little edit I put together last night as I was stuck indoors. Footage is of a large Oak dismantle for Mark Bolam. Tree had to be mostly rigged down due to the eccentric land owner's collection of Peacocks, Geese, Alpacca's and various other water foul in pens. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epIzaVnig-k]Charing Oak - YouTube[/ame] First real attempt at a tree vid. Hopefully you like. :001_tt2:
  22. Pics from Bolams job today...
  23. I look pretty small up there... Got some other pictures of the job, will stick a few up later. Cheers Mark.
  24. Do it Steve. You won't regret it.
  25. Mike Hill worked there for a bit I think. Give him a shout.
