  1. Nice work John.
  2. Stevie, they are great all round. Soles are not too stiff. I am on my third pair right now. I have got between 20 months and 2 years out of each pair so far. This pair will be two years old in April, I bought them at Capel 2 years ago. Still in great nick. FTR though, I have been wearing Aku's for most pruning work and only the Airstreams for takedowns etc.
  3. Had a failed an hung up syc stem to make safe and remove one of the other stems. Set a pulley and rigging line in one tree. Set it in leaner and tensioned it up. Spiked up taking weight off the leaner until it had one last tensioned branch in the opposing oak. Came down, retensioned the leaner and then gobbed it up once it was clear and put it in the deck using the lowering devise.
  4. Try Savage Cranes mate. Thy are based in or around Maidstone. They might be able to help you.
  5. I'd be no good at it. Everybody says avacado is ok to eat as it is a healthy fat. I can't stand avacado! Must admit though, I am not into fads etc, but if you guys are feeling the benefits then it's all good. I must admit though I have been a bit more conscious in what I put down my Greg. Not had any energy drinks since the new year and have cut down on a few things like spuds. I have not been putting crap like chocolate in my system. For about 10 years now I have been on soya milk. Recently been having a bit of dairy so have knocked that aswell for the soya. Not of the changes are for religious, health or any other reason. They are just because I can.
  6. I thought coconut milk was extremely fatty? Or is that the idea? Ditch the carbs and switch the bodies energy source from glycolysis to lipolysis? Basically getting your ATP from fats as opposed glucose?
  7. Tie a rope to the tree above you for simple tasks. Don't even bother with slings and krabs. Just cut brash with a stub at some point, chuck it on the line and at some point it will zip down the line and catch on the stub. The above method it highly complicated and took me all of 2 seconds to master once I was first introduced to it. You can even balance logs on the line if you wish.
  8. Bloody hell Darren. At least they didn't get anything of value. Personally I wouldn't want to disturb your dogs.
  9. Cool mate. I still have quite a few mate who live there year round. You out there are the moment? I reckon I will be out for a boys trip in March and April this year. Off to Norway next week so will get my powder fix then... Fingers crossed!
  10. When I put cheap fuel in I actually get more mpg and a lighter wallet.
  11. Is the guy you worked for in Morzine, blond and married to a blonde chick... Living in St. Jean d'Aulps? A smaller village about 6km down the mountain nr the big Champion? I have done 3 winter seasons there and am a regular visitor still in the Winters, never been there in the summer.
  12. A couple of double braids from this arvo. Just need wipping. Used Blue tongue and used Yale Hedera.
  13. So what did you do after lunch?
  14. He is in Finland. Depending on how far north will depend on how much day light there is. Well done on your first job.
  15. Full, crappy-nappy lunge...
  16. Excellent, made me chuckle. All the best mate to you and yours for this festive period.
  17. One from earlier in the year. HC removal.
  18. I was actually told by a Chief Inspector when I was younger that if you find someone in your house and you do go to town on them with whatever is at hand... Do what you have to do and then leave the body at the bottom of the stairs or better still, drag them upstairs and then push them back down. The explanation being that you heard a noise and went to investigate and bumped into someone on the landing and a scuffle ensued and they must have fallen. After all it was dark! Not sure if it is true but the guy was a Chief Inspector of Cleveland Constabulary.
  19. Grow up mate. Oh, just checked. It seems you have gone from hero to zero in the time it has taken me to drive home. Well done, another tick in your so awesome list of achievements. C U Next Tuesday.
  20. So why are you ranting simultaneously over 3 different thread?
  21. So are you saying that if they have no lunch they cannot work?
  22. Sounds like you had had a bad day.
  23. I think they are not referring to your CS units when they ask for qualifications. They are probably looking for academic quals. Could you get your mate, the consultant, to make a recommendation and submit that...?
  24. Gerbutt, where did you get the 60m Kern from? do you have a link pls?
  25. Agreed bro x2 with a cherry on top!
