  1. A couple of pictures. Rich
  2. I have had a cut and climb for about 4 years now. Well 2 to be precise, the first was replaced by Clarks after a technical issue and the second it still going strong after 3 years. My only gripe is the lack of hood. I have worked over the years with a number of Kiwi's. Also a number of guys who have visited/worked there. I have never heard a bad thing said above it kit from Swazi. Ray Mears has had a Tahr jacket for years and swears by their clothing. I will be moving to Norway permanently this year so fancied something to deal without the rain over there. The Swazi Karona Anorak looked like it was up to task. Waterproof, windproof and with a hood. HV as well for road side work. First impressions are it is really well made and looks like it will live up to the reputation of the other equipment in the workwear range. I will let you know once it has had a full try out.
  3. Don't worry about it Paul, they drink too much anyway and then all they do is moan the next day. Keep up the good work mate. It is great to see the last few years the AA asking for feedback and actually taking note of the information and trying to act on it. I remember a few years ago it seemed to be getting a bit stale and in some people's eyes out of touch with reality. This forum, your feedback requests and the simple addition of camping has made the AA show a worth while event in my northern peepers. Cheers and keep up the good work.
  4. We blew work out on Friday and decided to make a trip to the show a last minute thing. We didn't arrive till about 1 ish and stayed for the duration of the first day. The show seemed to be set out well and about the right size... some shows are so large you get lost, others so small it's a waste of time to go. It wasn't a surprise that HB and FRJ and tree worker weren't there as they had all mentioned that fact before the event. Treekit was well stocked and if I hadn't have attended the show I would t have seen and bought the new pulley for my Rope Runner... I didn't even know you could get them in the UK, the trip was worth it for that alone. Nice to catch up with some old friends, even if they did get a bit upset when the booze ran out. It also would have been nice to camp over but alas, family commitments in the Saturday prevented that.
  5. RIP Tree Brother.
  6. I am calling BS on that last shot mate. I know you are lying as it isn't you up there because that was me!!
  7. Be adventurous you lot. Embrace the inner urine lover.
  8. Pee on it. Sounds horrible but a trapeze artist once told me for palm blisters , chapped hands and cuts that urine is best. It works for those mentioned. Could work once the scabs have formed.
  9. I think photoshop may have had something to do with the giraffe neck. Great shot and a good fight all the same. Refreshing to see.
  10. They may be made from the highest quality chinesium! Just buy the petzl or ct.
  11. What he said . ^^^
  12. Glasgow, I think it was, a couple of years ago. Albeit slightly different.
  13. I can see where you are coming from in a way. But Accidentally disturbing a nest and then relocating it is hardly the same as dog fighting or badger baiting. FTR I have pulled off plenty of jobs due to nesting birds. But then again it would be a lie to try and claim I havnt accidentally discovered a nest whilst working.
  14. I was going to compete in the SRt comp but not the other one with seasaw rides and felling.
  15. It is a new site this year.
  16. Yes Steve. I will be there with a few others, see you there then.
  17. I have had this explained and demonstrated a number of times over in Norway. Each time they have got the bar stuck on large heavy elm trees. Stick to some other methods and yes the method in the video does work but it isn't 100% guaranteed 100% of the time.
  18. I use a steel core flip line with a vt and micropulley for takedowns. Most days is use 11mm blaze and a trango cinch. On the left so it is back to front. It works well though. Not tried the ART.
  19. Similar to my thoughts. Regardless of the reason, it is a low life scum who steals a mans ability to provide for his family.
  20. Sorry to hear mate. I will keep an eye out in South East London. If you don't mind me asking there seemed to be a long window in which the gear went missing. What was the reason?
  21. I always feel like the Black Diamond gear just sits on top of my head. Maybe something to do with the size of my cranium. It just doesn't feel stable. I am talking about the half dome though and not the new one Steve posted.
  22. Just buy the pfanners as the Stihl are crap.
