  1. I would just climbed it and cut and chucked it.
  2. I cut a Beech in half today. It had Merip, its now of a size that if it does fail it will miss the house and power line, but chances are it now won't fail due to reduced wind sail. Safety comes first in my book.
  3. Happy birthday buddy!!!!! I'll shout you a few drinks next week mate!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I'm so pleased the Hydrangea was OK!!!!
  5. Thats one fantastic view Tom!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like a really nice job!!!
  6. These new caps are a great little IQ test. All the grounds men I have had that could not do the caps were not much good at most things, the ones that could do the caps were great at most things!! I love em!!!
  7. The council had put up the signs and barriers and I was told I could leave timber on the road over night. When I arrived and found the car, I called the police and they came out. I did not want any come back later.
  8. That 88's not stuck!! not with a nice big gob like that!!! No one was injured.
  9. Hehe!! Not a smell that would make most of us relax!!!
  10. The big commercial producers peel it with a sort of giant pencil sharpener.
  11. Having done a little digging on the net it would seem there are two rules, a 4 year rule and a 10 year rule. 10 year for change of use and 4 year for dwellings. This is a woodland Dean, you are an urban forester, not sure there is a change of use mate I had the council trying to stop me using a field years ago, I treated them with the contempt they deserve and they went away
  12. Always been 4 years, as far as I know. There was a guy who built a house behind a pile of bails, he waited 4 years and then removed the bails. He only lost his case because it has to be visible for the 4 years. I could be wrong. In any case "retrospective planing consent" should be no harder or expensive, than getting consent before hand. The risk is you don't get it and have to reinstate back to the previous condition. Building without consent is not an offense and if no one complains you have no problem, IMO.
  13. If you buy boots for yourself, no VAT. If you buy boots for an employee, you pay VAT.
  14. I did say average, there are more than a few exceptions:sneaky2:
  15. So you think the average Arbtalker is as daft as your average ebayer?? Stick it on ebay
  16. My wife says it looks like Robocops head!!!
  17. Nice one!!!!!!!!!!!! No wait!!!!!!!!!!! Nice two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. I've always used my bank, they have been more competitive than any one else.
