  1. :confused1:So you put no value on your time, fuel and wear and tear to your kit. I prefer to get paid and then pay others, its just simpler, imo.
  2. I agree!!!!! And also WHY are hedges any different???????????? What if after we cut it they don't get it cut for 20 years???????????????????????????????
  3. I would ditch the guys off your shoulder too, I reckon they are going to slow you down.
  4. Looks great Reg!! I'll be having a look on Friday, I like the fact that your stuff id designed by some one actually doing the job.
  5. She is beautifully!!!! You must be a proud as punch!! And you lass deserves a medal for the length of that labour!!
  6. Mines a br380, nice, simple, old fashioned two stroke
  7. The itching is worse than the pain of the sting!!, IMO
  8. Just seen this mate, yes I'll get some pics and yes I have a camshell thats quick rease too.
  9. He did not leave his van door open.
  10. You need to be attached to the tree by two separate ropes, when cutting most people use a side strop or lanyard for this, in addition to their main line. If you prefer to main lines thats fine
  11. So it was not the fault of the threviving scum bag, who forced open a locked vehicle? So I guess in your mind, any thing that not locked up in some form of high security building is fair game??? Life stock?? Logs?? Garden furniture?? The list is endless. Is Rob to blame?? In my mind NOT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!! Will he take more advanced security measures in the future?? probable. Should he have to?? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Really?????????????????????????? How does that work??????????????????????????????
  13. Every night when I am putting my gear in a steal container, I feel resentful that I have to take such measures. We should be able to leave our gear any where with it being stolen.
  14. I despise this kind of attitude!!!! Why do people feel the need to make excuses for thieving scum!!!
  15. Who has a 3 digit pin?? Mine are all 4 digits.
  16. To be honest, I think people should have the knowledge to know what they want when it comes to climbing gear. If I go to the shop for the ingredients to cook something, I would not expect the shop to know how each thing should be prepared or cooked, they are just supplying the stuff. Maybe if you had called the thread "climbing gear supplier", it would make more sense. If they had had no knowledge of the Stihl gear they are selling and covering warranty on, I could see your point.
  17. What on earth does being a Stihl dealer have to do with selling cord?????????? Should I ask Asda to service my car????????????????????????
  18. Indeed, but in your first post (the part I highlighted in bold) you suggested that felling was the expensive option and contractors were cashing in. I think in reality you need to explain to the customer that retaining the tree could be quite expensive and there is a fair chance it will need to be remove at some point, so this is far more expensive over all. As long as the customer is happy with this and values the tree enough to make the investment, thats fine.
  19. So you can "manage" the tree for less than the cost of removing it?? Do you accept responsibility for the tree once you begin the management??
