  1. So are you really saying that the only who are good at any thing are the ones who write a book, make a video or run courses???????? IME, often the complete opposite is true. I have met a great many people who are very, very good at what they do, but feel no desire to do any of the above and just quietly get on with their lives.
  2. No its not, its a top handled saw, thats why the handle is on the top, not the back. Thats why its called a "ms 200t" or 020t, too us old buggers.
  3. Not winning the work is also not great for profit. Things are getting real tight out there, I'm having to be keen with my prices. There is just less work about, its OK only getting half the jobs you quote, IF your getting twice as many quotes as you need. I'm not dropping my minimum target day rate (which I never give to customers, but have in my head) in fact I've raised it £50, but I am going to be starting work earlier and trying to do more in a day, so that I earn the same but am more competitive. The days of more work than I can cope with and easy good paying work seems to be gone.
  4. I'm I the only one who thinks that looks hideous?????????
  5. Do you park it like that so you don't get oil stains on the concrete??
  6. True, but you will be getting very little heat from it.
  7. So a very strong 16 stone man cannot have in one arm the same strength as a 7 stone women??? So following your argument, some lady arbs should not be allowed to use an 020 two handed, let alone a bigger saw.
  8. So you want us to not just buy it, but sell it to??? Surely selling its your job, you must know how much you are after.
  9. Too much Christmas pud??????????
  10. Do you pay rent on the flat?? or is it classed as part of your wage?? Minimum wage plus accommodation does not sound to bad.
  11. I can second that, I've know Greg for many years he's a top bloke and as honest as they come. Dean, what reach is your MEWP?? are you booked up this week??
  12. All one handing is not bad practice, but cutting and holding is. If we remember its not good and carries greater danger, we should be more careful when doing it.
  13. And at least it not another I want/whats best tractor thread
  14. No mate they were shorts type trunks, I think they could almost be classed as type A's
  15. That looks like such great fun!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Dean, surely you agree that it is more dangerous than using it two handed.
  17. What about logging up?? I have a log burning pool heater, last year I was cutting up dead Elm logs one handed, in my trunks and flip flops, is that OK???
  18. Are you still talking about the 020 here??? that sounds more like my 066 technique
  19. Don't know about shrinking, but it may not do the protection any good, I seem to recall it can fluff it up. I remember reading the washing instructions on some pants years ago and it said they should be laid on a flat surface to dry. I've (well the wife, truth be known) always just hangs them up to dry.
