  1. WOW!! Yes that would be so cool!!! Watching my family starve to death (no tucks, boat, or planes to transport food), not to mention the crime (police unable to attend) and deaths from illness and accident (no ambulances). Yes lets all go back to the good old days, when we were poor, cold and hungry. When most of our kids died before they were 5, those that lived had rickets and the like.
  2. I'm not sure the OAP visiting his wife each day, driving to the hospital or the father of 4 working 3 jobs on minimum wage and driving to them all, would agree with you Or the likes of me, with a disco 3 at 22.5MPG
  3. Glad to hear that!! But things ain't great at the moment and lads should show a little appreciation for those who give them work, IMO.
  4. Not sure a joke is approbate:thumbdown: This guys business is on the line here!!
  5. I feel your pain!! Unfortunately I'm not surprised by your experience, I have had far more poor, disappointing experiences with staff than good ones. People don't seem to have any loyalty or professional pride any more. If things weren't working out they should have spoken too you and finished the job in hand, very poor show, IMHO.
  6. Yes it probably a none starter. Could you hire a tracked dumper???
  7. Were you an financial adviser too Labour???
  8. Really wish I was nearer, my mog has 4wheel steering, so access would not be a problem. When you doing it Rupe?? Are there cheap B&B's near by??
  9. Good point. I did , wonder if they are out door tables?? as he says type of timber not important, in which case moisture content may not be an issue.
  10. Do you have suitable timber yourself?? If you do, you could hire in a guy with a Mobile Woodmizer.
  11. Come on mate don't pussy foot around, tell us what you really think??
  12. I like your thinking!!! You could even (if your really radical) cut the Xmas tree into logs
  13. The points you make can all be addressed by adjusting the price per tonne for the timber type and moisture content.
  14. As you say Matt, we all make mistakes, its easy to think your just chatting among friends on here, which you are, BUT the are 1000's of none posters reading. May be an idea to PM Steve Bullman or one of the mods and ask for those posts to be binned.
  15. I can see the sense in moving to volume, but on lumpy, twisty hardwood I could see scope for a fare bit of disagreement between seller and buyer about what that volume is. Soft wood is pretty uniform and a lorry load will be more or less the same each time. A weight ticket is a very easy way to go, IME.
  16. Do you really think its appropriate to post negative things about some one with a learning difficulty?? Especially when you go on to post pic's of your work trucks, which make both you and in turn him identifiable.
  17. Who sells by the cube?? I've only ever sold by the tonne.
