  1. How many cc's was the 240 or 024 ???? Because the point I was making is if they have upped the cc's and not increased the bearing size there may be some issues, its not really a very common saw IME, most people went for the 26.
  2. Chris I get the feeling you are very much a "paper work kind of guy" the fact that you have been in business for 10 years and never changed your chipper blades, choosing to get the dealer to do them amazed me, however you appear to have great business, so your clearly doing something right I am much happier changing the chipper blades or fixing the mog than doing paper work, maybe my business would be better if I enjoyed paper work more. It strikes me that getting AAAC status is going to be something thats well within your capabilities and something you will probably enjoy doing, so go for it!!!!
  3. I hold the opinion I do following a conversation with Dick
  4. Is your domestic work not set price?????
  5. That may help, but (imo) its not a total fix, the saw has more power that its earlier version, but they have not increased the size of the bearing, with more power you need a bigger bearing.
  6. But the tree had already set up barriers and compartmentalised the decay, the regrowth needed removal to prevent it from tearing out, but I would have been inclined to cut back the pollard knuckles that had begun to form. Although my recommendation would have been removal or topping/pollarding to a much lower point.
  7. Is it a completely new saw or an upgraded one??? The 261 seems to have been a real disaster, they have upped the power but not the clutch bearing and there is not room for a bigger bearing:thumbdown:
  8. This thread was started a little over 2 years ago, I think he may have pasted since then
  9. But most people do not get paid while they sleep.

    HMRC= Joke

    You think they pick up the tab?????? Do you think they have a big pot of gold that just refills every time its emptied??????? They use OUR money to pay for EVERYTHING!!!!, so its still us picking up the tab, at least if the person making the call and there for benefiting from the call pays something, its a little less of my money going on things for others. And if I call the HMRC I would sooner pay a little for the call than get some muppet on unpaid works experience.
  11. I wish our firefighters had to give rather more of their time for their excellent wage.
  12. I thought it was best saw "ever made", as in put into production, not best saw "never made":001_rolleyes:
  13. Normally get them without the VAT, there is still VAT, if you know what I mean (so if your VAT reg you still get to claim it and save) But VAT's higher now and times are tough, so I don't know how great the discounts will be, if suppliers are struggling they can't give massive discounts.

    HMRC= Joke

    How would you suggest the government pay them???, just borrow more money I guess. As for them "racking in money" from the calls, they don't the charges don't generate revenue, it just reduces the cost of their telecoms.
  15. My clients ask "if I need one" I point out I don't and they are happy:thumbup:
  16. I don't get all this real name stuff, its a bit to facebooky for my liking Also how do we know its this really is your real name, it could be a double bluff
