  1. Customers do not "demand cheaper products" business try to attract customers with lower prices. I don't blame the European workers, I blame the EU for allowing free movement. Inflation it not all bad, it's great for reducing debt.
  2. It was the availability of cheap labour, employers could get foreign drivers cheaper, so they did, this drove down wages. It's pretty simple.
  3. Cheap European labour has caused the problem, not masked it.

Having seen your monster bench press I’m not surprised!!
  5. Mainstream media bias for all to see!! Rashford ballsed it up, he completely missed the target, but he is the golden boy, so his penalty gets no replays after the result. Instead Saka, who did a good job, but was unlucky, is the scapegoat!!
  6. I think people cut their arms far more than they cut their neck. But I guess you are much less likely to survive a cut to the neck. All saw cuts are down to improper use of the saw. If you use good technique and don't cut corners you will be fine. Easier said than done mind.
  7. It's funny because it's bad taste.
  8. I wasn't suggesting that, I was asking the question. Lots of things are changing fast in these modern times, the world tends to be a much more tolerant place, which I think is a good thing general. But, IMO, not all so called progress is good. Take transgender's as an example. Most kids feel like they don't fit in as they hit puberty, giving them the idea they may not be in the right body does not strike me as very helpful. IMO, the constraints of normal expectations and the idea that somethings are weird, is not such a bad thing, it might just keep them on the normative narrative until they find their feet.
  9. Exactly, this is a discussion form, there will be deferences of opinion. We as a society need to get back to a time when people could disagree without falling out. My holding a different opinion to you, should in no way invalidate your opinion.
  10. Here we go again. Alcohol does not depress me.
  11. So now you are trying to shame me for my honesty? I can honestly say I have never felt the need to talk about my mental health with anyone, we are not all alike.
  12. What evidence do you have that getting pissed and ringing a mate would not help? Its well known that the only time most blokes (well northern blokes) show their mates anything near affection is when they are pissed.
  13. I know things have changed and men can now talk about their feeling, but I don't think suicide rates have reduced. Does taking actually help?
  14. Social media paints a false picture of people having perfect lives, which makes people who can't see it for the lies it is feel inadequate.
  15. Should a business really be expected to pay for this? Do our taxes not go to fund the NHS? Do you also offer other health cover?
  16. I tend to think the same myself. Maybe I've just been very lucky not to suffer with poor mental health, but we are all pretty blessed in the west, I just think about how some poor people live around the world and just count my blessings.
  17. Sorry if I'm being thick, but what is it you "have in place"?
  18. They will only produce growth from existing greenery and if you leave too little foliage on a branch or twig, that greenery will die.
  19. I normally describe it like a spider, I will grind out the body, but not the legs.
  20. “Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.”
  21. I've seen it before on trees, I think its caused by caterpillars.
  22. Not in my experience. Years ago they got onto me about me running a business from home, said the timber I had stacked in the field was not "agricultural" etc. They wrote to me and then rang me asking me to write to them explaining myself. I declined. I asked her if the timber looked a mess and was it not the sort of thing you expect to see in the countryside. She agreed it looked ok and yes it fitted in. I pointed out I was not storing old fridges or scrap cars. She asked me to drop her a line to that effect. I decided. She asked why. I said "if I write to you, you will open a file with my name on it and it will all begin, but feel free to give me a bell any time" A month later I got a letter saying they were taking no further action at this time.
