  1. Where did I state that was my view???? You seem to make a great many assumptions.
  2. While I agree PPE is important, I would argue that safe working practice and good technique is more important, PPE will help reduce your injury if things go wrong, but its better to avoid the accident first, PPE is only the last line of defence and will in now way guarantee that your badly injured or even killed, unfortunately.
  3. TBH, you seem to be the one who's making a big deal out of this. Just for a moment put yourself in the eBay sellers place, you don't use eBay much (obvious from the "O" rating) but decide to sell your truck on there, suddenly you start getting people asking (via eBay message) if your a crook!! and then you gets sent a link to this site (which he probably knows nothing about) and see that someone has stated as fact, not suggested or implied, but stated as FACT that your listing is a scam and you are a crook!! Can you really blame him for being more than a little annoyed?????

I was taught to do it to the tune of "Nelly the elephant"
  5. Its not just a "comment" its an "accusation" and made as a statement of fact, with NO evidence whatsoever!! The secret to not getting scammed, is simply to only pay upon collection or delivery of the item, not thinking you are some kind of detective and making false accusations!!
  6. That sounds like a very tough year, getting help from the Dr sounds like a very good start. Hope things start improving for you real fast
  7. What did you measure it with?? Near 5" here, are you sure your not using your "special" bedroom tape??
  8. IMO the big problem with spending money in order to get out there is once you get going you hit all traffic that builds up or someone slides into you, so you end up wishing you had just stayed home. Also if you do get on site, tidying up is a real ball ache and often you end up having to go to go after the thaw to do a proper job. My advice would be save your money and wait for weather to improve.
  9. 4inches here, schools all closed, sledging me thinks
  10. Not sure I would call it "green", partially seasoned would be nearer the truth, IMO. If the purchaser stores a fews days worth in the house before burning or mixes with coal, it will be just fine.
  11. The second link is Aladin
  12. Cat, yes I lose water from the house header-tank over flow. Heat-exchangers for the pool seem pretty easy to come by, I have one already which I got of ebay, I'll probably get another. There are large plate ones on ebay too. I currently have the boiler about 10M from the house, plumbed straight in with no accumulator. Its been used for 10 years, I have had issues with boiling the system on occasions. At the moment the boiler is off through the summer and DHW is heated by immersion heater, my hope is that while heading the pool I can turn off all radiators and still heat the DHW, via the indirect coil in the immersion cylinder. Thanks for your advice so far, its much appreciated
  13. Sad to say that was the impression I got from the bits of interview I have seen, he did not seem in the least bit sorry, just appeared annoyed he'd been caught
  14. But a 110 back full of chip is WAY overloaded, so whats the advantage of extra empty space???
  15. Just do it on a Sunday, when they are at home and charge double
  16. Catweazel, what sort of heat exchanger would you recommend? Or would I be better trying to use a very large header tank, possibly not in the house?
  17. If your unfortunate enough to be involved in a serious road accident when loaded, they could weigh it then and things could turn very nasty. Or you could just get pulled by plod or VOSA. Would it not be better to at least have an idea of the kind offence you are committing, it can be a fine of up too £1K per tonne. Although IME for a first offence its likely to be much less.
