  1. I've had similar in each arm in the past, lasted about 18month, did not find rest helped, I did wear a neoprene support, which helped. Its a good few years since I had it and my arms are both fine now.
  2. Its generally pretty easy to get a line over a limb, the higher the better.
  3. I feel sure it would easily go on my 10.5 ton mog and 13.5 ton trailer.
  4. I have some biggish stuff thats been down for a few years, but not under cover.
  5. I knew exactly what you meant Its the human condition, we tend to only see things from our current perspective, we look to improve our circumstances and those of our family, its a good thing really, it promotes ambition and encourages us all to strive for an improved standard of life. But as you point out, a sudden and horrific shift in our circumstance or that of our family, soon make us realise how blessed and fortunate most of us are. In reality to have a healthy family is way beyond any lotto win, but we so easily take it for granted. I think the things you have shared with us on here have made many if not all really remember whats important in life. Wishing you all the very best in your very difficult situation, Dave.
  6. You are able to have your cake and eat it (very rare in business), i.e. You harvest and sell timber, but sill own the woodland, which can be sold at any time to recoup your initial investment!!
  7. Good advice After the invoice has been sent they may well request a break down of your costs.
  8. Do you not fix a price before commencing work?
  9. Could you afford her habit???
  10. 450KG at 14M is still much more than I can lift
  11. No not at all, that crane is awesome, but just too heavy to be practical for me, reach is the most important thing, IMO, I can always cut smaller
  12. Mine has the same reach, but not the lift.
  13. There are paddles that create the draft, I think they would break them up with ease.
  14. The blower I use would pretty much batter them to bits and blow them up the shoot, which could be extended so they went into the back of the mog. Wet snow takes a hell of a lot of blowing, so I'm pretty sure there would be plenty of draft.
  15. I reckon most snow blowers would that job just fine.
  16. I do get sick and tired of people stoping and asking for free wood whenever we are working road side, they look at you like you've shot their dog when you say no. They often park must inappropriately and come wondering under the tree, meaning we need to stop working, so IME the public very often do "get in the way". Happy new year to you too
  17. You asked "why such a negative view?", obviously there will be no negativity if permission is granted.
  18. You think thats been "made safe"?? Not being funny, but to me it just looks like the easy bits been done and the bit that really needs doing (the stuff above the roof) is still there.
