  1. Are people really saying they don't want fuel prices to fall???????????????????? :confused1:
  2. Some of you people really do think the world is far more organised and controlled than it really is My understanding is that China had a sprinting economy, the world producers of raw materials, oil, coal, steel, etc, had geared up to meet the high demand that China was demanding. Unfortunately (or not depending on your point of view) China has stalled and the rest of the world economies are pretty much treading water, so supply is way out stripping demand, that leads to only one thing, falling prices. The whole world was riding a huge bubble, things were way overpriced, the bubble popped a few years back, resulting in the recession we have just come out of, I think oil is just a slow reactor, its only just caught up, personally I'd plan for low oil prices for many years to come.
  3. They are obviously not that powerful or the price would not have dropped. I fracking come in, prices could well stay low for a good while, IMO.
  4. What makes you guys so confident that oil prices will rise soon???????
  5. They always say that:sneaky2: It'll probably be 54p next week
  6. Your slipperier than an eel, changing your tail at every turn:sneaky2: Seems to me you've made your mind up, so I have no idea why your trying to justify yourself to us????
  7. Presumably you have accepted the quote from the firm that have made the application, this would suggest at least a verbal contract. Do you not think its pretty low of another firm to be touting for work another company has begun and for you to be considering it. If you were not happy with their price why let them go ahead and apply??
  8. How would they possibly know?????????????
  9. How long is the chipper? Does it throw the chips far enough to get over the cab, including wet conifer?? I'd be very cautious of just putting a rear chipper on the front. I've waisted a great deal of time and money messing with the wrong chipper.
  10. I've assumed the hotter the better, cracking and distortion is not an issue, unlike furniture timber kilns, so I'm just trying to get the water out ASAP. I could well be wrong
  11. Fortunately we live in a country with the required infrastructure to deal with this decease without issue. Its very sad for those unfortunate enough to live in less developed nations.
  12. Not sure those who get cheap logs would agree:biggrin:
  13. Have you ever weighed your rear axel when your chip box is full??
  14. Yours is a long wheelbase model which helps, mine is short, so when empty a little care is needed when braking hard as the rear can lift. Once loaded with chip or towing handling is great, no speed boat front end in the air.
  15. These sound like the genuine Merc springs, not the vos ones. As Stevie says the vos ones do not taper, so there is no graduation in the flex of the springs. When the mog is only slightly loaded the thiner tapered ends of the springs flex, this adjusts the brake sensor increasing brake power. The HD ones vos sell have no taper, so you need a lot of weight on before the brakes are adjusted, this could be dangerous, as you may find that the brakes are not as responsive as they should be. The vos HD springs are ideal for a permanently loaded mog carrying fixed heavy equipment, but not really for dealing with occasional heavy loads.
  16. I run front mount chippers on mogs for about 14 years, but I've always used purpose built front mounts. I used Ducker, Jensen and Schiesling. The Schiesling is by far the best. Frount mounting just makes sense, the weight is better distributed, you can tow, etc, etc.
  17. Word!!! The amount of time and money I have wasted over the year thinking I was being clever finding a new way to fix an already fixed problem is ridiculous. If your doing something no one else has done, there is generally a reason.
  18. Its basically a radiator with a fan behind it. (convector fan?) No underfloor heating, 16 radiators.
  19. Logs only, you can put smashed up bits from processing timber etc on, but not really just chip. Needs to be timber under 30% moisture content, but ideally under 20%.
