IMO, the whole "Green" thing is hog wash! Even if we turned off all our modern technology and the whole country went back to living live cave men it would make no difference at all on a global scale. The green wash we see all around us is about additional taxation, jobs for the boys and nice handouts for those with enough cash to invest in the required infrastructure, be that turbines, solar panels, etc. Its also about many people wishing to take the moral high ground, making out they are better than others because they have a hybrid car and recycle, yet they choose to over look the flights they take:sneaky2:

Do you mean loft insulation? If so I believe there is some stuff made from sheeps wool that supposed to be good. If it is roof insulation you need there is some spray on stuff, but it not cheap.

Presumably the spec of the job was to leave a completely free line, no contact with any trees. Given time any contact between the line and any part of a tree will lead to rubbing through of the line.

Be very careful, you would need separate tools, machinery and vehicles for each business, if you don't the VAT man can make you pay back tax for up to 6 years, paying VAT you have charged is one thing, paying it out of your own pocket is a whole other thing.

Oil prices being lower should help the cord price, extraction and haulage are both pretty oil hungry.

I'm all for a good work life balance, but why Sunday?? I prefer to take days off the suit me best, not stick to an antiquated throw back to a very different world. Once my children are grown up I think I will move to only working on dry days, which ever days they happen to be. I really like the convenience of B&Q and many other retailers being open the extended hours they are, it freedom to pick and chose when I work or not.

Retail has aways been about buying, not selling. If your paying too much for the stuff you sell you'll struggle.
